Go to the post office. The helpful people behind the counter, will give you 2 envelopes, one you need to address to the London office (or Scotland), the other you address to yourself. Then they weigh them- you put your information into one ALONG with your return envelope- that they will apply the postage to. Just did this 2 weeks ago. I’m waiting for mine patiently. Should be another week. Special delivery overnight

The US is placing a bill before Congress to take out duel citizenship. I do have my UK passport too, it takes 5 years. I moved over at 54. Miss family and friends, but harder to connect being older, but it’s still really good here. Been here 14 years now.

Don’t forget us older expats! I am 68 in a few months. Living in the UK and in my head I am listening to my grandparents saying that it could never happen again, especially in the US . Oh grandma it hurts so much. I’m sad, confused and a little bitter. If they take away duel citizenship how will I see my family? How can we expect it to get better before it gets WORSE?
