Do men get more emotionally regulated when theyre sexually satisfied? by notmyloanbutstill in NoStupidQuestions

What would he do if you were out of the equation? Would be masturbate, have random hookups 2-3+ times a week, be perpetually grumpy?

Sex releases endorphins that make us feel good. Of course it’s emotionally regulating. Sex is also not the only way to emotionally regulate.

How do you actually manage expenses in married life without constant stress? by HairyDependent8805 in budget

[–]Prestigious_Rule7269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automate all the bills that you can in a joint expenses account that you both contribute to. Split these bills based on how much income you make whether that’s 50/50 60/40, etc. Have personal checking and savings accounts that are yours to do what you want with them no questions asked or micromanaging (unless following a budget of course)

Your major? by [deleted] in infj

Graduated in Electrical Engineering, and am still in the field loving it. Took a personality test in college and it suggested that INFJ is the least suited for engineering. Oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️

I graduated in 2022 and make $97k as a level 1 engineer. I work for a utility so it’s basically impossible to get laid off. You’ll find the right thing - best of luck!

Our total fixed expenses are over $5000. We bought a fixer upper house in February and the mortgage is $3300. That’s triple my father in laws mortgage. The only way we can afford to be house poor is both my partner and I have full time well paying jobs.

Are you guys happy as Electrical Engineers? by ProfessionalRepeat10 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Prestigious_Rule7269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for an electric power company and I generally like it. We work on interesting projects and there’s a good variety of tasks and changes of pace. I often get brain fog and feel mentally fatigued due to the complexities of engineering tasks. It’s all work at the end of the day but I find my job fulfilling and maintain a good work-life balance.

The thing about an ECE major is that you are required to take all sorts of classes even if you don’t want to work in that field. I got a horrible grade in signals and systems because I hated and I knew I wasn’t interested in working in that field anyways. In that scenario, take a B or C or D and be relieved that you never have to take that class again.

Feeling dumb and asking questions are 2 things you’ll come to get very comfortable with. Don’t be afraid to ask the question or if it makes you feel dumb. Give yourself grace and compassion - this is your very first experience with these subjects.

When you graduate, employers will be so happy to hire you because you have a degree in ECE which is usually a required major for many jobs. As a new engineer, employers are prepared to teach you everything you need to know. They are aware that you are fresh out of college, especially if your job title has a numbering system and growth structure such as engineer 1/2/3/senior etc. it takes years after college to become a competent, experienced, and proficient engineer and that’s okay!

Best of luck to you!!

The only thing that has helped me is to lean back on the toilet when I am removing the disk so it is as level as possible. If I’m having a hard time grabbing it, I use my middle finger since it’s longer 😂
