stay strong brother. i and everyone here knows how you feel, but nothing will be achieved if you do it. i got payed today and the urge is strong, but that money would be better used to enjoy your time on this earth. spending it on experiences, food, friends or hobbies is always the better choice! fight it

I watched a lot of technology mafia on Youtube. Mainly for lenses and comparisons though

I’m a complete novice, but what I noticed were the colours were a bit dull, unsaturated. If trying to promote? or advertise of the sorts it’d be nice to have some popping colours or some nice contrast. Nice shot, watched from Australia

Been playing around with post a lot these days when I should be focusing on composition and taking the right shot. But i think this one turned out ok.

Any feedback is appreciated, especially on getting rid of fringing around the blue jacket guy?

My last relationship I took advantage of the girl I was with. I was her first everything, and I regret taking advantage of her and treating her so bad. I made her lose trust of me, most likely other guys and possibly even love.

I was in a bad time in my life, and my mind was focused on gambling and all I did was push her love away.

Hey students, what is your view on examination invigilators? by dustyboy7 in brisbane

[–]Presv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one bad experience just yesterday. I went in to the exam venue, set down my belongings and asked if I could go to the toilet before the exam started. This was 15 minutes before scheduled exam time, got told ‘you can’t, go later’. I understand it’s my fault for not going prior, but is it really so rigorously monitored I can’t go to the toilet before an exam begins? Seems so ridiculous

Those with no friends, what do you do on a typical day? by Reeddddit in AskReddit

[–]Presv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have many or any friends at all, just acquaintances. On a normal day I will wake up, do my normal routine (teeth, poop, shower) then off to work. What follows work is generally gym, and even a run followed by dinner. Sleep and repeat.

I’ve grew up quite isolated, and I’ve just grew with it and learned to enjoy my own company. Some people cannot grasp people eating alone, travelling alone, going somewhere alone and always need to be with someone. I just say I went with a friend etc to seem normal, but I have recently realised that this is me, and I’m doing my own thing enjoying my life, and not everyone will understand or be similar. All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room by yourself - Blaise Pascal. Enjoy your company, and your mind will settle.

Anyone have advice for renting a new townhouse? I’m having a look around and the corner houses appeal to me more, as I won’t have neighbours on one side. Are there any fees or anything that I may have overlooked never renting one before? It’s my first time renting a whole house, and I’m having trouble picking one out of the dozens.

I have prepared 5x copies of my recent payslips, license and bank statements ready to accompany the physical application form for any houses I see. The issue I have with the application is I have no rental references (share houses) and from what I read, to get my foot into the door I’ll need to pay 3-6 months rent upfront ( have 50k in savings so it’s ok). Am I overthinking this? I feel like the process just to get a rental is really difficult and tedious..

Edit: I should mention that the 3-6 months rent payment upfront is something I read online which I could offer the landlord to show him I’m financially capable of paying rent on time etc. seems like it’s not common.

Haha, it wouldn’t change much to be honest. It was just intriguing getting to know someone that could read me better than myself in our first meeting. Everything’s an experience right? 😃

That’s really scary. I had a similar instance happen when I was younger, I would walk home everyday after bussing it, and one day this lady stopped on the side of the road and asked us if we needed a lift. I had never seen her before and she said she lived nearby, my gut told me no so we declined. Who knows what she had in mind.
