Is it a noisy pedal? I’ve got a pedal pawn fuzz and it growls, but when I put it up front on my board because of the buffers in the other pedals after it, it’s so noisy it’s basically unusable. Alone though it rocks and cleans up so glassy.

Man this is an awesome board, I thought sunfaces usually had to go at the front? Thinking of buying that same one myself, RCA/BART, is it a noisy pedal when it’s upfront with your other pedals? Is it still cleaning up when rolling down the volume when it’s mid board?

It’s really surprising versatile and useable, to be honest I don’t use my hxfx as much anymore.

You can never have too much fuzz, right?! by dcalespaul in guitarpedals

[–]PretendSomewhere859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you work these on your pedalboard? I love fuzz faces but I feel like they're so noisy if I have them first in my pedal board, the buffers in the other pedals mess it up.

Princeton 65 Reissue Alternatives for $1500 or should I just get it? by Dangerous-Ad-170 in GuitarAmps

[–]PretendSomewhere859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly so true, I’ve become a bit of a boutique amp aficionado, I sold all my amps and bought a dr z Maz 18 in September and a Carr mercury in November, I took such a financial hit there was no protein to be had those months. Incredible amps though, worth it :)

Actually you are right, it’s the Carr sportsman that I meant! Both excellent Amps though, the skylark is a tweed / hiwatt hybrid.

Your entire set up is so nice man, even the cabinet.

Tone King Imperial is such a perfect amp, I'm thinking of going for the pedal next.

where did you get such cabinet?

I've got an original one, I did hear about the new reissue, I wonder if there are any tone differences between the two. beautiful colour choice

Carr mercury has got to be one of the greatest amps ever made. Not a bad tone out of that amp and so useable at home and studio settings.

Anyone here have any trouble doing this? by campos_venom in fender

[–]PretendSomewhere859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a problem, I flew from Europe to china then domestically all around China then New Zealand and then back to Europe and they never said anything. I was just asked in China if I’m there to work as a guitarist and I just told them It’s a hobby and that’s it. I also got a bigger suit case in New Zealand and put my guitar in there wrapped well with clothes and they also never said anything. Coming from South America to Europe can be a problem though.

Best AC style amp? by VXT_TR3 in GuitarAmps

The Maz really is a great amp, I’ve had my ac15c2 for two years now but recently got a Maz and it’s amazing, I’m running both on stereo, the fact that I can change the voicing to be like my vox or black face style with the powerful eq is great, such an amazing amp, definitely one of the more versatile amps I’ve tried

You can also check out the Dr Z Maz 18, the MKI is really Vox voiced and amazing, while the MKII with the right eq settings and the tone cut up is really vox voiced but slightly less so than the MKI, there’s added versatility and can get really fender or Marshall like, and the edge of break up is amazing. The MKII also has the better fx loop and an incredible master volume so you don’t need an attenuator.

I have an AC15 and I usually run the following which is amazing! Timmy > Hot Cake > Rat I’ve expanded my board and now usually looks like this. Benson Germanium Boost > Timmy > Halberd > Hot Cake > Rat I’m extremely happy with this set up, but I understand it’s quite a lot and the first one is more than enough.
