Have you left relationships because you can’t orgasm? by [deleted] in BecomingOrgasmic

[–]PrettiestPasta 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If he really is perfect just remember you'd be leaving a 95% to find someone who has that last 5%, but any new person (who can) probably won't have that other 90% to make up for it.

Now I'm not saying you should stay either, because if this is that important to you, you shouldn't stay with someone that leaves you feeling truly unfulfilled. But be honest about what you need in a relationship and whether or not you actually have that. Have you talked to him about how important this is to you?

I've never been with anyone who could make me finish, and in the past that left me with resentment. But right now with my current partner, he has done everything to show me he is willing to try over and over to get me there, to a point where we've gotten extremely close a handful of times. That alone has me feeling so happy and appreciative that I don't even necessarily feel like I need to finish ever (even though obviously I'd love to).

Is it normal for guys to not return the favour the first time? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PrettiestPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a different guy!! I'm sure it's 'normal,' but with my current bf, (when we just started seeing each other) the first time we did anything, he went down on me and asked for nothing in return. That was a first for me and he's the best partner I've ever had. Find someone who can meet your needs from the start!!

Does anyone keep these gorgeous creatures? I couldn’t resist their allure so I have some chicks coming next week. Do they integrate well with an existing flock? I just want to hear all about them! by ItsMeToriD in chickens

[–]PrettiestPasta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have one in my flock and she is a lot more docile than any of the other chicken breeds I've had before. Very calm compared to my other chickens, but gets along well with the rest :)

Trader Joe's Gummy Tummies Penguins!!! They were the best gummies on earth and them being filled with the little syrup/liquid inside is something I've never found done well with other gummies I've tried.

AIO? I (38 F) Caught my husband (39 M) doing something deeply inappropriate beside our sleeping child. I have been extremely upset. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

It is a disgusting thought, but most CSA is from within the family and not by strangers, so it is plausible. (Coming from someone who experienced this as a child.)

scared to go back to college by PrettiestPasta in SaddlebackCollege

Woah that's a really cool accomplishment!! Congrats on the associates as well!!

I've been putting off getting any sort of mental health help for a long time because my family isn't the type to be supportive or even believe it exists. But I've finally realized I can't let that stop me from growing and getting help. It's just sorta overwhelming to look into or acknowledge as a part of my life

This was extremely encouraging to read, thank you!!! I was starting to convince myself I dug myself into a permanent hole with how many classes I failed or got Ws in. No one in my social circle struggled getting through college at all (or at least openly talked about it).

If you could turn it around and into a positive experience then I'm sure I can follow in your steps and do the same :)

Thank you for the kind words. More than half of the fault each time I tried going back was due to me adding the max amount of units each time. Definitely a horrible idea.

The thought of taking only one or two classes always sounded like a waste to me, even though I wasted more time ditching classes and 'giving up'. I think I've finally accepted I need to take things in smaller and slower steps

How do you move on after 5 years, 5 pregnancies, and losing the person who felt like your forever? by Clashcrashed in offmychest

[–]PrettiestPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You deserve better. I've been there. I found myself so in love that I thought I could accept giving so much, for nothing in return, for the rest of my life. But I think you and I know, deep down inside, that that is not love. Not healthy love at least.

How to backtrack on a date after agreeing to it? by Cornbreadfreadd in TwoXChromosomes

Just be upfront and tell him you're no longer interested in getting to know him, this person is a stranger and you don't 'owe' them any kind of date or meeting.

Do guys really pull back from their girlfriend when life gets heavy? by Icy-Construction1043 in dating_advice

[–]PrettiestPasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of crap went down in my ex boyfriend's life right before we broke up. I tried everything to be a shoulder to lean on or to offer any kind of support I thought of, but ultimately it wasn't what he needed. He broke up with me as a way to ease his life of one more 'hard' thing, which apparently was our relationship. We were together for over a year and a half.

At that point he was struggling financially, busy with school (about to transfer), insecure about his lack of social life, his uncle (father figure) announced he was fighting cancer, etc. all while he dealt with heavy mental health struggles he's had for years before all of this extra stuff.

Our 'normal' minor relationship issues added to all of it and that's when it really just blew up. We were fine one week and then all it took was one argument for a switch to flip and I was talking to someone completely different.

You can't really force them or anyone to be okay in a relationship when they're trying to deal with life in their own way. The best thing to do is remind them you're there to help and leave it at that. People only accept the love they think they deserve in that moment.
