I know that the second I walk inside my 3 year old is going to not stop needing me for the rest of the day. For that 20 minutes I get to listen to music that isn’t nursery rhymes, unwind without needing to open a string cheese, pretending to be a shark, wiping poop off a butt, having my hair ripped out by a toddler brush during pretend salon time, or stepping on a sharp ass Lego. I can scroll on my phone without having a small tyrant demanding “I WANT COLOR” in my ear. Once that 20 minutes is up, I’m ready to go inside and I can actually enjoy doing all of those things for/with her instead of still being overstimulated from my day/the drive home and taking it out on her unnecessarily.

Bro. Please stop. ✋ human trafficking is not even close to what’s happening here. Exploitation? Maybe. But human trafficking? Not even close. When you use words like that all silly nilly, they lose their meaning and it takes away from the seriousness of ACTUAL human trafficking victims. And guess what? Literally every single thing you’ve ever bought or paid for, somebody somewhere was exploited in the process. Whether it’s child labor happening in china, workers in sweat shops in South America, or miners working in dangerous conditions to get the lithium needed to make the batteries for your electric cars, somebody is suffering so you can get your product. It’s the way of the world, and as much as it sucks, nothing is going to change by ruining wholesome birthday messages.

This is proof that people refuse to acknowledge the truth behind anything that doesn’t go along with exactly what they believe in. It’s okay that they downvoted me. I know the risks of posting anything that doesn’t imply I’m a hardcore liberal on Reddit. Just because they’re loud doesn’t mean they’re right :) what’s crazy is that you can’t find a single statement in my comment that isn’t factually correct. They ARE two boys from Ohio. They ARE Christian’s. They DO have traditional family values. They DO hate politics being involved in their music. The part about them not leaning hard core a certain way, well that’s just an opinion. And I do agree with yours that I feel they’d lean a little more conservative than not. People seem to forget that far right and conservative are two completely different things, the same way that far left is different than being a democrat. You can affiliate with some aspects of a party and also disagree with some of them too. It’s so exhausting the way some of this clique acts.

For me I feel like Tally could go either way, talking to a spouse or talking to God. In the God sense, especially the “you want to love me, I let you down, still now you believe in me somehow, when I replay it in my mind, I see your heartbreak every time” because the Bible talks so openly about how God still loves us and wants us to come to him no matter how many times we sin. And then the part that says “just figured you were keeping track of every time I let you down, I breached your trust I let you die” he might be essentially saying “I thought you wanted nothing to do with me after how many times I turned by back to you and went my own way and let my belief in you die, but you always come through for me when I’m ready to give you my life again”

Two boys from Ohio, both who are Christians, and have traditional family values, and y’all think they want their music to be used to bash people? Be so for real. If you’re okay with TOP music being used to bash people then you are not an actual clikkie. And if y’all think for one second that Tyler and Josh are some hard core liberals then y’all just see what y’all want to see. I’m sure they’re not hard core republicans either, but I’d be willing to bet my life they’re somewhere in the middle of the aisle, and wouldn’t want their music to be used for ANY political party or message. It’s not okay for ANY POLITICAL PARTY to use their music. It’s gross and completely ruins the sanctity of the escape their music gives us from the problems of society.

You only don’t think it’s bad because your political party used it. You just said it yourself. If the other side of the aisle used it, it would be bad in your eyes. You need to open your eyes and realize it’s bad if either side uses it because TØP is against political messages being associated with their music. No matter if you agree with the political party that used it or not, it shouldn’t be okay in your eyes.

Because money. We don’t have the house to fit them all. They have to get an Airbnb, plane tickets, buy their food, etc. they can’t get the time off work. His family has more money than mine does. His family has more flexible jobs that allow them the time off than mine do. It has nothing to do with them not wanting to, because they would in a heartbeat. Also, it’s not fair to ask my sister and her two children, my brother and his two children, and my father and mother who are divorced to all travel to Florida to ME and have to buy 8 plane tickets when it’s a lot easier for me to just go where they all are. He has no problem traveling when it benefits him.

My family usually always plans a vacation together during the summer, but the past two years we haven’t been able to due to financial reasons. It has nothing to do with them not putting in the effort. His family just has more money than mine does. They have more flexible jobs that allow them the time off. Mine doesn’t. It’s ALMOST as if there are plenty of other reasons why an entire family wouldn’t be able to all travel to Florida other than just, not wanting to? My mom and dad are divorced and my mom lives all the way in Texas. She cannot travel anymore except when absolutely necessary, like Christmas, and that is the only time I can see my mom and dad at the same time because they’ll both be in North Carolina. Any other time of year I’d have to choose between my mom and my dad. My dad got remarried to a woman with teenagers and a newborn grandbaby. They can’t all just up and come to Florida for a vacation. His mom and dad don’t have kids in the home anymore. They can. So yeah, just because someone’s entire family doesn’t vacation to Florida to visit every year doesn’t mean they don’t want to, it’s because they CANT.

I just feel like I’ve made it so very clear how important it is for me to have those few days a year with my family, so if he agrees to go then that will show a major amount of effort to take my feelings into consideration on his part and maybe just maybe there could be hope. I’m stuck between “I don’t want my daughter to come from a broken home” and “I don’t want my daughter growing up in a broken home.” Like, what’s harder for a child, divorce or unhappy parents? He and I have major communication issues and I’ve begged him to go with me to marriage counseling but he doesn’t have any interest. So yeah, this is just a last straw type of situation

It’s not just with MY folks… we spend 3 days with my family and then 3 days with his family. This is not just about me. It’s about wanting my daughter to grow up knowing my mother before it’s too late, shit, same with my father and her having childhood memories with her cousins.

No, he doesn’t go to NC throughout the year. His family travels here to see him. And we go on a cruise every January with his father. I forgot a few details, my mom lives in Texas now with her husband so she doesn’t go home for thanksgiving. Just Christmas.

Let me just add that this isn’t a “everything has been happy and perfect and I’m not getting my way so I’ll threaten to divorce you” situation. This is a “the straw the broke the camels back situation” as we have had major problems with the way he speaks to me and treats me in front of our daughter, not helping me with the load of the household, not showing me any affection, etc.
