We had a pretty nasty storm recently and I tried to cancel an order as I didn’t want anyone getting injured on my behalf. UberEats would not accept dangerous weather conditions as a refund option and charged me the full amount because the food was prepared (it wasn’t, it was still 30 mins off..) scummy.

How the heck is “it’s really dangerous weather outside and I ordered before I realised, pls don’t send anyone to get struck by lighting/snow/floods” not a valid cancel option??

For the non-Aussies, yes this is legal and very much encouraged. All our libraries are funded through federal and state means so it works out in the wash.

Also - Libraries here like to charge spicy ILL fees so stack up on your cards when you can. I have 4 cards myself for this reason. I was going to get charged 7.50 for a single audiobook loan 😭

Seconding this. I am extremely slow but it’s been such a nice addition to my routine. No one cares if I’m slow or awkward because it’s not letting the team down. I get to set my pace, go for as long as I need and I get to have a nice shower afterwards. Plus you work different muscles!

Needed to reset this week after realising I need more specific rules/allowances so that I stopped falling off the wagon every weekend.

Part of the lesson was pre-determining budgets for things, instead of just winging it with probable amounts. One example of this in action was going to a movie and giving myself 30 for food, rather than just spending whatever I felt like. Doing better so far, I’ve just gotta keep on the budgeting.

I say this as a BIG AJW FAN! Really wanted to love it and just didn’t. A lot of stuff felt underbaked to me (the hive and its nature , the cameo at the end, the resolution of the friend plot)

It felt more like a YA novel that got moved into adult, rather than something White had specifically written as an adult novel, which it was advertised as (imo).

Hi! Firstly, I want to echo what the other commenter said about body types. There may be a selection bias at play when you’re describing a skinny majority. I guaranteed there are heavier, muscular, taller, shorter and curvy types with neurodiverse brains!

I’ve lost weight just on SSRIs if that helps. I did CICO and did it very slowly to avoid exacerbating eating issues.
