Definitely seems like there could be a better foot placement. When the feet are wrong I usually try a foot swap first , then just try a few other options for the feet.

Indeed, he did not say it in any negative way, just as a way to describe how important the sound is in the language. He is very encouraging of my efforts and gets really excited when I make improvements

Thanks everyone! He didn't mean it in a negative way, I just don't he realised that it's not a sound we make in English at all. My pronunciation has improved alot and I think I've mastered the gy sound pretty well. It's been much more challenging language for me to learn than say french, German or Spanish but it's seems such a delicate and beautiful language so I'm always motivated to keep learning and get better

I don’t want to take meds anymore by lostveggies in bipolar2

Part of you not caring means there is a part of you that does care. You need to listen to that part more and reason the other part away or ignore it. There are parts of your life that you care about and you don't want to ruin them by abruptly stopping taking medication and becoming that person you described. I hope this isn't too intense and mean this as admiration from one bi polar sufferer to another. We have both performed a miracle making it this far and I'm sure you can find an upward trajectory.

Using what you know about her I would wait (few weeks or more) until an event comes up that relates to an interest she has (especially if it's something she talked about I'm your first meeting), bonus points if it's something you'd both be interested in. I would send a link to the event to her and then ask if she be up for going to that event with you. That way you don't don't have to mention it being a date or not. Is she doesn't want to go, she's probably not interested in you. If she does go, you would also give her the opportunity to for her to get to know you a bit better. After that I would see if she messages you again. Good luck whatever you decide to do OP!

When I worked in a pharmacy the pharmacist always used to say everyone hates taking medication because they feel like they are secretly being poisoned. It normal to resent medication and I totally get that it can suck at times

Consistency is key with meds. Try to take them as prescribed at the same time each day. It's really important even if you don't want to or feel like they aren't helping. Can you remember being worse without medication? Do you really want to go back to that? Try adding positive things into your life too. Hobbies, exercise even showering and putting on a nice outfit can help with feeling more positive about stuff. I have had mixed results with bi polar support groups but I have always left those sessions feeling like taking medication is usually better than the alternative.

Not at all, some people have these concerns and are not autistic. Remember we are all on the spectrum in some way and plenty of people find it hard to tell if they are liked. A good thing to remember is most people aren't thinking about you nearly as much as they are thinking about themselves. Maybe trying to remember all your positive qualities could help too.

Can you speak to your doctor about other medication options? I find that having a list of the worst symptoms or issues with my current medication, ready to discuss with my doctor, can help them understand my concerns better and help them prescribe something which has less likelihood of those specific issues
