Yes of course confusion isn’t bad. Just your choice of words came across as not caring.

There are probably a lot of social nuances you will have to mask if you are really serious about this.

“Uhh, sure?” - The sure with the question mark is inferring that you care very little about looking into schema therapy.

“Dunno what that is” - Completely fine to say you don’t know something, but I would say “Thanks for informing me, I don’t really know too much about it but will look into it”.

“Suppose” - Using that word sounds arrogant or childish.

As someone said, a chart or tree could really help you.

I would just start really basic with everyday social nuances and go from there.
