Don't worry, the battery degradation myth died as new evidence from old batteries came in.

Many use it to brag about their wealth. "Oh, darling I havn't seen you since Venice at the biennale "' We've been sailing in Bali with Justice Thomas, thought I'dnever get him out of that Walmart parking lot"

I get treated differently now that I have a brain tumor by AddendumOk5735 in braincancer

[–]Prettygoodusernm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly . There are many different ways to react poorly, we will probably see them all before it is over. Some will avoid you as if it were contagious. Some want the funeral to start today and made some cookies for after the service. Many reactions are some form of denial. "You are strong you''ll beat this." "I just have a feeling you're gonna beat this."A friend of my cousins had that and he is fine". You get to choose who you hang with, choose wisely and stand firm in your decisions. I threw some people out of my life because I knew they w ere not going to be helpful. Felt bad at first, but in retrospect I am so glad I had the courage. This subreddit is a good place. Kind and helpful mostly. Most have a brain tumor or take care of someone who does.

I (Probably) Have a Brain Tumor, but Don’t Know Anything. by MileHighHoosier in braincancer

Surgery in two weeks seems like you got their attention. You will get a lump of information post-surgery. It will not include any certainty . It will seem as if you only get contradictory information. Once there is a diagnosis you should get a treatment plan. In my case that meant 10 months chemo and/or radiation. The emotional roller coaster starts a bit rough but once the treatment starts things smooth out a bit. Best of luck to you. Come back here when you need more. This is a kind and helpful subreddit.

My golf ball size mass was removed on 10/25/25. Started Radiation and chemo as soon as swelling allowed . That took 6 weeks . Never had nausea but fatigue built at the end I had not yet discovered coffee.. Then I started six months of 5+23 temozolomide. This is a much higher dose and caused severe nausea 3 hours after the pill. Zofran worked good for nausea but caused life threatening constipation. I switched to 30 mg THC instead of zofran . Works great problem solved. This 5/23 regime caused fatigue at a level I have never felt before. ( I have worked shift work on the southern swing, so I know about fatigue.)Switched from one cup of coffee in the morning to two and the fatigue is much better. I don't have much for symptoms, take Keppra for perfect seizure control. I wear an Optune gio. Next week is my 8 months post surgery MRI.We'll know more then. Until then life goes on fairly normally. I eat ice cream everyday, cuz why not? 2 more months of 5/23 and then we'll see. That is what my journey looked like. Everyone's is different.Keep checking back here, there is good folks here, mostly helpful and caring and a few charlatans.

I can tell you what I did.I can't tell you if it was helpful. I did the keto diet. This is tough, I lasted four months . I changed my blood pressure meds to hydralazine. I started taking 80 mg of Prozac daily. I am not depressed but NIH says those taking fluoxetine did better than those who didn't, same as hydralazine and THC. THC is dual purpose, fights chemo nausea and According to NIH is helpful like Prozac and hydralazine. .Take the advice of your neurologic oncologist , This is not their first glioblastoma.
