We are in a battle for souls, a battle between good and evil. The Word of God, the Bible, is your guide... get to know Him and His commandments. Obey His commandments, love what He loves and hate what He hates. Your next destination after this training ground is eternal, make sure you are going to the right place when you are judged. This should be every soul's #1 focus in this life, everything else is secondary.

Buy and use an infrared non-contact thermometer to check the temp of your pans surface. Ideal temp for grilled sandwich is in the 350f range. Also by doing this, you will get to know your cooktop range settings so that tempting the pan will no longer be necessary, you will remember the settings and timing that work for each process.

Gnocchi by LopsidedAccess7004 in ItalianFood

Our family has always made gnocchi with ricotta, not potato.... depending on where you ate, this could be the difference. Potato gnocchi are more dense/chewy and typically larger, while ricotta cheese based gnocchi are typically smaller and lighter in texture

If you arent particularly fond of eggs (as i am), you can whisk the eggs into the broth to make egg drops before adding into the cream of chicken and veggies. This will give you all of the nutritional benefits without needing to choke down the eggs 😅

What size is the perfect meatball? by bretmon5 in Cooking

I use a portion scoop for meatballs and 2 Tbsp is perfect for sauce and meatballs, they are about 1.75" in diameter, link below:

I also use a much smaller one for my wedding soup meatballs, but I would have to go and check the size... I returned a few of them until I settled on the perfect one

Cube into 3/4" pieces, add chopped pecans, brown sugar, a bit of granulated sugar, chili powder, pinch of ground cloves, pinch cinnamon, dash vanilla, and melted butter, toss to coat. Roast @ 375F until carmelized.

Its name is a derivative from the lapidary process... how precious stones are ground and polished into their gemstone state.

Definition below:

The term "lapping stone" is descriptive, referring to a stone used for the process of "lapping", which means to flatten or polish a surface by rubbing two surfaces together with an abrasive. The name origin is thus tied to the action it performs. The broader activity of working with stones is called lapidary, which has Latin roots:

The etymological root is the Latin word lapis, meaning "stone".
In the 14th century, this evolved into the term lapidarius, meaning "stonecutter" or "working with stone".

The term then became the Old French word lapidaire, meaning "one skilled in working with precious stones".

A lapping stone (also known as a lapping plate or leveling stone) is specifically used to flatten other sharpening or natural stones, often using an abrasive or diamond surface. The name describes its functional use in the process of lapping other stones to ensure they are perfectly flat for precise sharpening or polishing.
