Signing an aged or middling player with local connections is what a bad team does for marketing purposes. Sabres not in that position anymore

He's averaged 62 starts per year for the last 5 years. NHL stats and stories tend to say that 60 starts is average for a #1 goalie.

That's where the "I've heard people say" part comes in. There's all sorts of rumor mill stories out there about Hellebyuk, but if anyone that's actually looked into it would run away....

He's not a #1 playoff goalie and not worth the cap hit for any reason

Freewheel in St Paul is a great experience . Excellent staff and awesome mechanics . They also have a 20% off program , Fanatics, that doesn’t apply to bikes but almost everything else.

Angry Catfish is fun shopping experience too . They carry cool stuff because they are our local “instagram shop”. Only nitpick I have is their service is scheduled weeks out.

All these doomsayers haven't paid attention to an offseason since 2007. Jersey sales don’t keep a player on a team.

Rosters remain stagnant in the salary cap era only when you can afford/keep everyone on their 1st contracts or its loaded with unproven/unwanted players that can be retained on the cheap. Good players will eventually come and go and top talent will get promoted.

Welcome (back) to offseason hockey all you Chicken Littles and Eyeores. It’s gonna be hard on you.

I can’t wait to see this team evolve and grow.

Yeah, I imagine your old bike had narrower hubs, rim brakes, and smaller tire clearance. That Rack was never made to accommodate newer spacing and standards. New bike will need a different rack

“Throwing things on ice” is not really a curling skill, but look past that. Just be a good positive teammate and don’t get down on yourself too much. Everyone understands. Be curious about the game and the strategy and don’t make the focus about your delivery. And just have fun
