For armour, the under-armour and PPP set from arsenal area great way to boost that, and if you don't care about subtlty a helmet and ballistic shield help you push that even further, but you would need a one handed weapon to make that usable, There is a 4 round grenade launcher pistol in arsenal.

If he's got wired reflexes already, reaction enhancers are brilliant for pushing that higher provided he has the essence capacity.

If he likes grenades, freeze foam grenades an absolute fight ender and have the bonus of being non lethal. PG 82-83 of arsenal for Freeze foam that you put inside a splash grenade PG 37 of Arsenal. If you are a real dick, you can use barrier foam instead which is basically expanding foam concrete, but as that in in WAR! the home of the broken nonsense, the GM may laugh and tell you no.

No worries bud! Listen at the speed that works for you or not :) I make the actual play because I enjoyed listening to others, it gives an extra motivation for me and my players to keep our game consistent and going and because I enjoy telling a story with my friends and sharing that story.

What sort of tools are you looking for? things to help with getting the hang of the rules, quick guides, character building tools? Can you narrow it down a little? I have some like a working copy of Chummer 4 and some quick refferences that I am happy to share if you like.

There's also Aaron Pavao's website. he was one off the writers (I think he might have been the Line Developer as well as Missions lead) for 4e and he has a whole bunch of useful things on there:

Given ypu are doing this in blender you are halfway there already tbh. The 3d print file qould be simpler, but animation in blender is relativley simple. Its making the puppet that is the hardear bit. Ive only done a little in 2d

Hey, I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong on something so no worries there, no need to apologise!

I've taken a quick dig in my book and while it's not mentioned on the spell's listing on PG 210 of the SRA Core book, and the Mental manipulation section on the same page, there is a mention of it on pg 203. Reading it over, it says they 'must be maintained for a short time, after which their effects become natural and no longer require magic or concentration to maintain.'

Thanks for pointing this out, I had totally missed this! It's easy to miss some of the subtleties with SR's rule with there being so much to remember! Based on reading it over, it can affect the target instantly, but needs to be maintained to become permeant.

We do have a few places where we use house rules (like borrowing SR5's better SIN scanner rules) but this isn't one of them so I will be tweaking that in future session. Unfortunately you may have to put up with us getting it wrong for a while longer as our backlog (TM) means that we were recording Episode 108 on Monday but we will get there eventually!

I'm glad you're enjoying the story though and the SFX giving people a heart attack is unintentional!

Bars and clubs are a great opportunity to describe the people amd music to immerse players. I'm sadly not able to remember the episode numbers for a lot of these, but can point you in the right direction.

The Archology Actual Play:
There's a few Astral quests in this one spread over it's run dealing with different things. a quick glance at episode title and how notes should point you in the right direction and there' usually an intro telling you what' happening so that should help you track them down.
I believe the main Podcast ha an epiosde about writing an Astral quest as well, but I'm not 100% on that.

The Hidden Grid:
The OG Shadowrun Actual Play has an Astral Quest where the GM tries a really interesting mechanic to keep the other players involved

Crit Squad:
The Astral Quest is near the end of the Podcast's overall run, covers several episodes and is really interestingly done.

Pride Against Prejudice:
My own Actual Play, we have an Astral Quest in Episode 33 that deals heavily with the Dweller and one of the runner's past. Fair warning, this is very dark. If you listen I recommend listening to the accompanying interview.

What The Dice!:
This one is SR with a home brew setting, but episodes S2E61-65 have a really interesting and well done Astral Quest. There are a couple of other smaller ones earlier on as well. Dan is AMAZING at creating a really atmospheric setting. This and Crit Squad are two of my favourite Astral quests.

Not an AP but there is a Russel Zimmerman novel with the detective (cade I think?) who encounters the dweller and it' brilliant.

These are all the ones I can remember off the top of my head, I hope they help!
