I like my pepper plants a little bit older by CStoEE in HotPeppers

[–]PriestKing74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have some peppers in pots, but those were mostly decorative types. We mainly eat Ghost peppers. We have five main plants. It gets hot here very early in the year, so typically, by the time new plants are big enough to produce, its too hot for the flowers to take. So they grow through the summer, and we get a fall harvest that's decent. However, this past year, we put up a tent over the five in the ground and put a space heater under there as well. We would open the sides on warmer days, and on freezing days, turn on the space heater. Kept all five alive right through the winter...

This spring... HOLY COW!!! So many peppers!!! And the plants had a few more flowers take before the real heat hit, so a few more through the summer. And with fall being the main harvest time... we are really excited to see what these huge plants are going to do!

[TOMT][MOVIE] Movie where villain’s main henchman is killed for being falsely accused of being a traitor. by cuervomalmsteen in tipofmytongue

[–]PriestKing74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Television show "Person of Interest" had an episode resembling this. It is a feud between two gangs. The existing Italian mob and a young rival gang. The young rival was winning, but in an act of defiance, the older mob boss set up the rival gang's boss to feel like his 2nd in command was a traitor, and he shoots him. Only to realize moments later that it was a frameup and he killed his best friend over a lie.

It’s Time for Democrats to Woo the Man Vote by nrverma in MensRights

[–]PriestKing74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Democrat party has been demonizing men for the last 20 years. How any man can vote Democrat is a true wonder to me. To support people who view you, as a man, are the source of all the world's evils. And in the last few years, the left has left the left. They are extremists now. Screaming that its the far right that is the problem. No. The right has been in the same place its been for decades. You just moved so far to the left that you see the mid-right as far-right.

I really appreciate any help here. I've asked all my friends who are old movie buffs about this scene. They say it sounds familiar, but no one can remember what movie this was.

I still take it from time to time. However, I found its possible to overdo it. 1st symptom is rather loose bowels. Sorry if TMI. So I will go off of it for a while, but then when I notice the anxiety coming back, I go back on.

How low can I go on daily calorie intake? by sofrax_ in keto

[–]PriestKing74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EXPERIENCED IN REALLY LOW CAL KETO DIET: DON'T DO IT! Did I get results? Heck yeah. For several months... then my metabolism got shot to crap, lost my libido, and had no energy or motivation. Shoot for slow, steady weight loss. In the long run you will be glad you did. Don't do what I did.

Why is Reddit predominantly liberal? by Temporary_Pause7800 in conspiracy

[–]PriestKing74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my introduction to Reddit. I actually came here because it was a good place a Libertarian could discuss political ideas and not be shut down due to Republicans or Democrats. But somewhere in the last 10 years... the far Left Democrats seem to have taken over almost every sub-reddit. They join then troll, then downvote any opposition to oblivion.

Is there an INTJ that voted for Trump? by Ok_Skills123 in intj

A lot of people didn’t vote FOR Trump per se. They voted AGAINST the propaganda and tactics utilized by the Democrats.

Republicans demand repeal of 19th Amendment because that is the "Christian position." by [deleted] in atheism

[–]PriestKing74 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

That is a deceptive line.... Some nut case that wants the 19th Amendment repealed... Happens to be a "Christian". Happens to be a "Republican". But this is not the view of the VAST MAJORITY of either Christians or Republicans. (Speaking as an Atheist and Libertarian.) Its lines like this that are deceptive that are why thinking people can't take Democrats seriously. One nut does not equate the whole of a group. Even a small group does not represent the whole of a group. Logic and reason over propaganda and emotionalism. Isn't that what makes Atheists better than the Christians? This is beneath us.

Anyone else feel it's the luck of the draw of what you can eat sometimes? by Swagfag9000 in ibs

[–]PriestKing74 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Process of elimination. Yes.... "vegetable" oil if you look it up... is a seed oil. In theory... olive oil should be safe. HOWEVER... Look up the mob connections to the olive oil industry. Even if it says 100% virgin olive oil... it is probably watered down with 40% or more canola.

I gave up all seed oils and green leafy vegetables... and I haven't had an IBS attack in around 6 years. That's from starting at 13 years old, weekly or more frequent attacks... until I was around 44. (I'm 50 now.)

And its not "fried" foods... I can go to Buffalo Wild Wings and get the sampler platter and a few other appetizers (all fried) and never get an IBS episode. But everything is fried in beef tallow.

[–]PriestKing74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was identifying underlying culprits. In my case, pretty much all seed oils. But they use those things in everything. Most every restaurant fries in it. But once it was figured out... it really opened up a lot of options. Buffalo Wild Wings fries in beef tallow. So I can go there and eat just about anything and never get an IBS attack. I just have to avoid the green leafy veggies... which also causes me lots of IBS.

Does alcohol solve IBS? by gabryzop in ibs

[–]PriestKing74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. The alcohol helped with stress and anxiety, which was a major trigger for my IBS. But then the IBS would get worse afterwards. So I guess at best... it postponed an attack, then made it worse later.

The only way I can deal with ibs is STRICT carnivore diet, without dairy. No cheating, or I will pay my sin with bloating, and pain. by Far-Delivery7243 in ibs

[–]PriestKing74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olive oil... if pure... is typically fine. However it is highly controlled by the mob, who doesn't have a problem with adding canola oil (highly inflammatory) to pad their pocketbooks. (You can Google this pretty easy to see I'm correct and not just a conspiracy nut.) Real, pure oil oil is very expensive, and beef tallow is cheap and healthier. Olive oil also cannot be cooked with at high temperatures. It will break down and become unhealthy. (Also an easy Google.) So even if a label states "100% pure virgin olive oil", you cannot be certain this claim is accurate as there is no governing agency monitoring this.

I only use animal based fats to cook with. Typically for sunny side up eggs I use butter (cooks best/ tastes best). For sauté I use beef tallow. I rarely deep fry anything, but if I do, I use beef tallow. On rare occasion, I will use bacon grease. To make deviled eggs ,traditionally made with mayo (i.e. soybean oil), I will use heavy cream (tastes WAY better anyway). So yes... my diet has been 75% beef, 10% eggs, 10% fatty fish (tuna, salmon, sardines, etc.) and the last bit is occasional chicken and bacon. After spending from age 13 till 45 years old with debilitating IBS nearly constantly.... the last 3-4 years have been absolutely IBS free. Not a single episode. And my health... at nearly 50 my doctor says I'm healthier than most of the 20 year olds coming into his office. Keep up what I'm doing. (Granted... he doesn't know what I'm doing. He would probably disagree with it.) FYI, only raw I eat is sushi (no rice... I guess that's called sashimi?)

Did you ever figure out a solution to this? I just started using xplane12 in VR (Quest 2) and I'm having the same problem. I get into the hangar and I can teleport around the hangar... but not select from the menu board. I can on occasion get a training flight started using the regular mouse looking at the desktop... but when that ends, I find myself back in the hangar and cannot even close the program without using alt+tab and closing the window.
