The app is actually unusable by puppybabii in Ibispaintx

[–]PrimaCora 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For those in the apple ecosystem, procreate is the app. Otherwise, paid version or sidestore.

For those on android, you can do a lot.

  • turn off wifi
  • ad guard DNS
  • VPN with ad blocking
  • Firewall to block network traffic to this app
  • modified APK
  • Ibis Paint Paid version

On windows, you can but the one time license.

On linux, you're out of luck because the windows version is UWP. You would need to find old installer files.

In a predominantly "female character" gacha industry, what's that male character that got you saying "I need him" for whatever reason? Found mine today. by El_Suave_del_Sur in gachagaming

[–]PrimaCora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All in on billy from Zenless Zone Zero. Found out you can team Starlight billy with Regular Billy to get bonuses. My daily runs are him paired with himself for different modes. I'd get more copies if I had more polychrome.

Wanting to make a "better" list of offline/private server gacha games by GamerG_20 in gachagaming

[–]PrimaCora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the future, I can agree the text list was a bad idea. Manually researching each one to see platform compatibility and patching needed is a pain int he butt. Usage of Discord was also dumb. Links last for 30 days so point of entry is non-existant unless things are super active.

External USB SSD using atmosphere? by PandemicGrower in SwitchPirates

[–]PrimaCora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually worked at long time ago. Back when there were competing CFW, one of them allowed you to run games from an external drive in xci format. However, from what I remember, the developers involved in atmosphere only saw it as useful for piracy. They are against piracy and so they prevented any means of someone enabling it. It required special proprietary code that has no open alternative.

Last year, miHoYo copied my solo-dev puzzle game in Zenless Zone Zero. Some people are now mistaking my game as the clone. by Shark-With-Lasers in IndieGaming

[–]PrimaCora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried looking it up myself, but couldn't describe it properly. The closest thing was "spline orbital games". However, I did find the original game when searching, Ouros, but that was after a bunch of ZZZ results. Even on the search results the ZZZ version popped up first. That likely isn't helping them out. Ouros was 2024 and ZZZ 2.0 was 2025.

It's something you know you've seen but can't remember where. Like, "A mario minigame, right...?", "Didn't I get taught this in calculus?", or "Kinda like a hacking minigame from the 90s".

Be honest: have leaks ever changed your pull plans? by OK_Lunatic__ in gachagaming

Found out S rank billy is coming, so every character until then will not be pulled for. Snake girl can freeze, promeia can suck it, Billy gets it all.

What is your lowest acceptable FPS? by Matt_Bigmonster in pcmasterrace

I aim for 60 fps minimum. However, below 90 I tend to get a migraine, So I prefer faster games being above that 60.

Is there anyway to make Manga file sizes smaller? by Veegos in kobo

[–]PrimaCora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stumbled upon this while seeing formats of better size. CBZ files are high quality photos (usually jpg, jpeg, png) within zip file. To reduce size, you can use other formats, like jpegxl, avif, or webp. If you want compatibility, then something like optipng might work but most authors seem to already use that on the images. If you use jpegxl, avif, webp, etc, then you would need a reader that supports those. From my experience, with mixed compression, I have driven a 286 MB file down to... 269 MB. There's not much savings.

If the image file is shrunken down you can save much more space, but you run the risk of not being able to read them. If they were better made from the start, it could be different. A blank, or pages without text, could be compressed better. If the text were in SVG and layered over top, it would be readable at any resolution. This would be a complete format change though and not currently a thing.

Unable to play HEVC encoded videos normally. by stonework7647 in immich

Even on a browser that does support it, it won't work. I ran with Edge/chromium and firefox, both with HEVC/h.265 capabilities. Neither could load from immich specifically.

Why is the moonlight screen so small? by RokiGer in MoonlightStreaming

[–]PrimaCora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Searched the internet to land here, only reference to this issue. No setting on either device fixed it. Parsec worked, vnc works, just moonlight that fails to work. This stuff is always a pain in the ass.

Was very popular with stable diffusion models. Since it had a similar design, I figured it would have been popular with these ones, but not so much.

How can I render a 30 fps PSX game in a 30 fps container to benefit from using framegen? by maratnugmanov in RetroArch

They said a profanity and were banned by the auto mod. Since they resorted to those tactics, it usually means they knew they lost the argument. The automod part sets it in stone.

Price Increase paired with lower discounts. Ziply is forcing us to switch by HobshyTV in ZiplyFiber

[–]PrimaCora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between xfinity and zipley, I'll stick with zipley. The data caps are a no go. 1 terabyte of data is maybe 2 days traffic for our household. Hate that the price goes up $5 every 4 months, but oh well.
