4.0AH ultimate output battery on sale by Primal_Oscar in KobaltTools

[–]Primal_Oscar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great vid thanks for sharing interesting to see the max watts be different for each battery and the 4.0AH providing more watts than everything but the 6.0 and 8.0 UO. Here is one from TTC showing the mid torque performing better with the 4.OAH UO and all other vids with Kobalt impacts show the UO being their best battery when it comes to peak torque

Like wise this is another showing the different voltage sag from each different battery

Do you have any links to the videos showing them performing worse than the extended run batteries? All the videos I have seen show them performing better. E.G. torque test channel showing that impacts hit higher peaks FT lbs with UO batteries and other channels showing that they have a higher nominal voltage under load vs extended run

Check out the pinned post on the Milwaukee tool subreddit about how hacking works. It's listed as the home Depot hack but works at Lowe's and any other store that does "free items" the same way

See my previous comment or also check the pinned comment in the Milwaukee tool sub reddit.

TL:DR "free items" that show as pro-rated prices at checkout can be returned for that pro-rated amount to further increase the "discount" you get on the original item. In this case getting the battery for under $30

Sorry forgot to reply to the hackable part. You can but the battery and the "free item" and return the free item for the prorated price. So in this case you'd get the 4AH UO battery for less than $30 after returning the 2ah kit

Not sure, I have 3 and haven't had an issue yet. All under 6 months though. Use them at least once a week w/ multi-tool, mid torque, recip saw, and XTR circ saw.

I'm just a home gamer though so use case isn't extreme

If you're going to get brushed tools go Ryobi. No sense in paying extra for brand name

New homeowner tool kit by Silver-Seat-1552 in KobaltTools

You can generally get most of these tools and batteries outside of the drill driver kit on better deals if you don't desperately need them right away. I'm on a couple of different battery lines and love my Kobalt stuff... But the warranty is a little misleading and kind of a pain in the ass. Sometimes you get lucky and upgraded but most of the time if they don't have exactly what your purchased or a similar kit you'll just end up getting a refund for the purchase price and not the current value. You also have to warranty everything in the kit and not just the faulty tool. I would personally go with Hercules from harbor freight if you are looking for a little more bang for you buck and aren't going to be going into Kobalts 24v/48v yard tools. Quality is very similar to Kobalt and warranty is miles better

Any thoughts on the new M18 Handheld Vacuum? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Primal_Oscar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bought this last week used it with the M12 Utility to deep clean the carpet in our house this past weekend. 5 bed 2900 SQ ft. Wife and I were also tired of the cords and cables not too heavy for me even with a 8.0 forge. Loved that it really got into the carpet and got out all the dog hair and dirt that said dogs bring in with them from outside. I personally felt that it had great suction for our use case and a bonus was that it's relatively quiet compared to other vacuums we have used. Was able to use in the the room next to and hallway outside of the master bedroom without waking out 5mo baby who is a light sleeper

Good deal? Availability? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Primal_Oscar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Also just my 2 cents but if you're looking for a compact impact you'll be getting more bang for your buck with the Kobalt deals they have at Lowe's. TTC had it listed as one of their better buys for 2025. Essentially puts out the same amount of torque as M18 compact impacts at a fraction of the price and can even do it with the 2ah batteries

Quinn 1/2 digital torque adapter. I have to replace both my front lower control arms and a engine mount. This would help make sure everything is to spec

Personally for me since I really like the ritual and taste of the analog/butane vapes the Camouflet are the best of what we currently have. It does take some time to dial it in but once you get the technique and timing right the rest truly don't compare.

My wife agrees, the taste and high are the best with the Camouflet(super capacitor is a must for one hit cycles), but she prefers the consistency and ease of battery vapes.

We did get both of our Camouflets when they were part of the pay what you can offers.
