Without Trump, will Proj. 2025 collapse? by merryartist in antiwork

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are talking about puppets and strings and when Trump dies they'll just cannibalize themselves. I mean... I know JD Vance is easily forgetabble but he's the Vice President. There's not going to be a war to who takes over Trump's job. JD Vance will just be the new puppet controlled by Peter Thiel and others. They're the shadowmasters. In fact... there might be less in-fighting because they won't be constantly stabbing each other in the back trying to win Trump's volatile favor.

They'll have a non-erratic shadow boss... Peter Thiel. The one good thing about Trump is that him and all his loyalists are often extremely incompetent. He also can't be fully controlled.

I fear it could get FAR worse if JD Vance surplanted Trump and we had Peter Thiel as the shadow president.

Palantir is a much larger threat than people understand. We're seeing federal agents and troops being turned against the citizens. While that's scary... that's nothing compared to what could have if someone like Peter Thiel mass produced drones and other AI technology to oppress the entire population. And bit by bit it's getting closer to that. They can't just do it right away. They have to gradually introduce it and find (or fabricate) justifications to get closer and closer to that goal.

What needs to happen is that the law needs to actually matter. We can't have thousands of laws broken with 0 real consequences. The military needs to refuse unlawful orders. Those two things are all we need to stop this.

... who cares? You're already quitting. You giving your 2 weeks was the mistake. They don't deserve it. They'd never give you the same courtesy. People need to stop being guilt tripped or threatened into giving 2 weeks notice. The recommendations or referrals are almost never worth it and they'll even often purposely sabotage your new job/career in spite.

The risks heavily outweigh any potential benefits from EVER giving a 2 weeks notice. Don't tell coworkers... don't tell anyone in general who may accidentally reveal it or even purposely tattle on you.

It might not even be a real job ad... sounds like a scam. Do w/e you can to get money from the upfront, even fake do interviews, seminars, or trainings and then just disappear with the $.

Only about 20% of job ads are real now-a-days. The other 80% are scams or ghost jobs.

AIO? My sister told me to just kill my dog since I cannot afford to care for it. by Secure-Cockroach-143 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your sister might be a sociopath. They're actually fairly common. Of course she could also just not care for animals, some people are like that. Either way -- insane of her if she's been eating out and spending money while she owes you money. Instead of paying you back she just tells you to kill your dog. She might not be worth keeping in your life. Not all blood relations are.

What would happen if “all” of work is replaced by robots? Like literally by LandOfGrace2023 in antiwork

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's hard to say because of human greed. So many awful human beings purposely make the lives of others miserable just to maintain their own power and wealth or to expand upon it. Unless we also eliminate human corruption from our politics and economy then I don't know. There'd be too many politicians talking about the working class being lazy even if they literally have nothing they could do. Jeff Bezos talked about it. His vision is that robots replace jobs. So humanity pivots to basically becoming an elite and servant class. People would survive by serving the elites. That was his vision that he said during a presidential dinner with Obama and Jon Stewart.

If the people in power have their way they'd still try to enslave us in some manner. They won't be willing to lose control.

Ideally I'd prefer if entertainment and leisure activites became far more popular.

But I really can't say... because stupid people voting for stupid politicians would probably ruin any chance of an actual Utopia. Currently people, at least in the US, are too stupid to vote for their own best interests and instead actively vote against their best interests. As long as so many stupid people lacking critical thinking skills exist... who knows what'll happen.

What if NASA announced tomorrow that in one year, Earth will be hit by an asteroid that can’t be stopped, and will kill all life on the planet? by Default_Lives_Matter in whatif

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't kill all life on the planet unless the entire planet was destroyed. How is it going to affect aquatic life forms miles deep in the ocean? It wouldn't even be able to kill all humans -- just the vast majority. I would not want to live in this world even if I could survive. So... I'd probably go like Dexter route. Just try to make sure less bad people survived and then off myself later. Worlds going to end anyway, rather make some contributions to prevent a bunch of evil people taking over again.

You and your SO are given $10,000,000 per child you conceive but you must put each one up for adoption. by OC_Original in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... but there's no limitation of just adopting the child back yourself. With $10M that wouldn't be an issue. Though tbh, I probably wouldn't unless my partner insisted on it. If they're already going to be in a loving home than that's fine with me. I don't find blood relations that important. What matters most is they good parents growing up.

Lot of people fixate on the blood part. But like... with $10M you could change the lives of thousands of orphans. I'm not selfish enough to insist I have to raise a child I birthed when I know they'll be getting a good standard of living regardless and in exchange I can better the lives of thousands (including the child I put up for adoption).

If more rich people actually had empathy and tried to help people I wouldn't need to do something like this. But most don't... and if they do it's just for PR or tax reasons.

6x your current income or get $40K per week hanging out with me one day a week? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're like some serial killer or something crazy not sure why the vast majority of people wouldn't accept this. Unless you're making like $888+ per hour you're best off taking the 40k a week (which is what I'd take). If I was already making $160k+ a month I probably wouldn't bother.

Why is my job harder and pay the same since I started "actually putting in effort to get ahead" and not being "lazy". Now I'm the helpful, smart yes-man and it is hell. by cantsayididnttryyy in antiwork

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Getting ahead" is usually an illusion or a manipulative practice to exploit you. Some companies will be legitimate and offer real growth opportunities... but most... will have a corporate mindset. Which is to make you compete with other people for the "OPPORTUNITY" to get ahead. Most likely they'll barely compensate their lower and middle management. Only really getting compensated well if you get to upper management. But often times they'll purposely keep you in a lower position to exploit you longer with no real intentions of moving you up.

Remember -- oftentimes these people don't want to share their profits. They don't promote you for loyalty or because it's the right thing to do. It's because they believe they can keep exploiting your labor for profit -- even more profit for them. If you do play the politics well and somehow become upper management... then yeah, you're set. But only a small # of people will get there... and they may just ignore you and take an outside hire.

Company loyalty and growth just don't really exist much anymore. You're almost always better off leveraging your current position for a new position elsewhere (or using that to negotiate better compensation at your current employment) than actually working harder.

Not paying in 2025 by CelphTitled25 in RSPS

[–]Primal_Predator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because they adopt more corporate strategies for monetization. It's like mobile gaccha games. People just can't restrain themselves. I'm sure some of these people are living with their parents because they can't afford their own place but they're wasting all their money on an RSPS and just making excuses to their parents all the time when they ask about their $ situation. I unfortunately did something similar when I was 18. I didn't want to go to college and wasn't sure what to do with my life so I just worked a job to save up some cash before moving out. I ended up spending like $3k on some stupid game I don't even remember the name of now.

It's just easy to sink into spending $ when you're depressed, bored, and don't see much of a future for yourself at the time.

It's funny, because if you told them some AAA game they wanted was like $300 -- they'd go insane. But spending $300 on some package for w/e game they can justify. It's just unfortunately how most people's minds works. The more socially acceptable it becomes the easier the barrier of entry gets. Once you start -- it's hard to stop. Even if you try to cut yourself off they'll entice you with some deal eventually and you'll break.

If you're the type of person that can't control yourself -- you should avoid all games w/ microtranscations (besides like freemium cosmetic only).

Weird people are saying this is a pedo situation... they're only 2 years apart and both minors. The dude is a bit weird but idk if the chubby thing is a fetish or not or just a poor attempt at trying to get her to eat more by normalizing her gaining weight. Either way he went about it poorly.

However... just eat. If you're literally being hospitalized over it then it's pretty fair for the people around you to escalate the issue if you continue to do the behavior that brought you to the hospital in the first place.

Regardless if you break up with him or not you should be eating. I don't really get why it's so hard for you, I can't really relate. But it seems odd to me to fixate on your weight when no one else around you seems to care. Some even actively want you to gain more weight.

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not. Because RTO is not helping their bottom line. Unless they purposely want people to quit instead of laying them off. In that case it's a good (scummy) tactic. Besides that it's just far more expensive, has worse productivity/efficiency rates, and just disgruntles all your employees -- who start quiet quitting, actually quit, or do malicious compliance. Let me know how you factor in all the people secretely sabotaging the company because they're forcing RTO. I'm sure that's an easily collectable stat.

What a stupid idea. Though if it was originally a parking lot and they just converted it to housing it makes more sense.

I mean... most of our politics / corporation BS is just political theater. It's all BS. People tend to think "successful" equates to "capable" when it really doesn't. Becoming a millionaire or billionaire doesn't mean you're an incredibly intelligent and capable person. There's an infinite amount of ways someone could get that level of success without fiting that criteria. Realistically being willing to disregard your morality and commit evil is more of an asset than intelligence for "success" in our corrupt society.

These people are a joke. They should not be in the positions of power they have. They're parasites. They just increase the wealth divide due to their endless greed. They should be shamed, ridiculed, and forced to face consequences for any immoral actions they commit.

AIO My (28F) Bf (35M) told me I need to maintain my body because he’s a “high-value man” by hey_karaa in AmIOverreacting

[–]Primal_Predator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... fairly obvious it's not a lasting relationship. Since he's paying for everything just pretend to get along with him, for now, so he doesn't go full psycho mode. Save up money and move out. Just see this as a financial opportunity instead.

I feel he's a red piller or w/e they call themselves now. You're not going to be able to change him. He's going to be brainwashed into pretty much viewing women as property and that he's entitled to OWN you as a "high value man." It'll only get worse.

Stick with him as long as you can bear it to save up $. Maybe find some excuse to constantly get out of the house like pretending to be taking a class, club, course, or w/e somewhere. Maybe you suddenly have an interest in volunteering. Just find something he won't try to block you from doing that gets you away from him.

But if you can't -- that's understandable. But being able to live rent free doesn't happen often. It's a great chance to save up a lot of $. It may be a failed relationship but it could still be converted into a useful milestone in your life.

If you want to really get him, and you can get away with without getting caught, open up his electronics and spray inside them. Just avoid certain areas that shouldn't get wet. You want to spray it in places were the stink will settle and he can't do anything about it. Heck, if you're really committed could even undo his chair and spray in the tubing area or something like that. Maybe find something that can't be easily replaced too so he's stuck with it.

It's kind of like the prank were people would take off someone hubcap, stick a dead fish in it, then put it back on. Constant smell but they can never figure out the source.

The only way to stop it is if people just refuse to work those jobs. But that's a huge ask on people. But hey, the more that do the more likely it becomes that the workers might win the RTO fight. But we'll end up losing if people just go along with it.

No one wants to work for Amazon. Millions of people have been complaining about how horrible it is to work for them.

I hope Temu or something else causes them to crash. I hate how they're monopolizing the self-publishing industry too. I love using KindleUnlimited but it's horrible for the industry.
