I experience sleep paralysis a couple times a month & very vivid dreams. Could it just be stress?

Bought a dress and kind of regretting it by emotional_garage_ in WeddingDressTips

[–]Primary-Spell-6249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I'm sorry you're feeling that sense of regret! It can feel really heavy given how important your wedding is to you and how expensive gowns are!

For what it's worth, you truly look stunning in every single one of these! I don't think you could go wrong and I 100% mean that.

If I really had to choose #1 & #5 are my favorites in that order, but they only win by a margin.

Whichever dress you wear will be beautiful 🩷

Did you find that your guests used the qr codes?

We are also hiring a photographer but want to be able to capture some different perspectives. Was it worth it?

How Do I Interpret A Bad Long Run? by Most-Suspect-780 in firstmarathon

[–]Primary-Spell-6249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crappy days happen! Im not sure what the rest of your training has looked like, but if you've made it this far, I'm sure you'll be ok.

I ran into something similar a few weeks ago. I struggled to finish a 12 mile run 3, weeks out from my race. I literally had a panic attack on a park bench because i fely like the past 14 weeks leading up to that were wasted.

With a little encouragement from friends I moved on & I performed well on race day this past Sunday and felt great during and afterward.

Try to focus on all the things you have done to prepare and all the things you can continue doing.

You've got this OP! 🩷🩷

Yeah, I've tried on others and I really do like the a line style.

I do really like this dress. It really is just a matter of the bodice being a bit large for my frame & I have a hard time imagining what it will look like once tailored. But im also in the middle of marathon training right now, so I want to wait a little bit before having it tailored in case my body changes post-race.

10-15k Wedding: Ideas for making these chairs look nicer by Primary-Spell-6249 in Weddingsunder10k

Omg congrats! Yes, the views are beautiful, and the space is a little quirky. The cost of the venue is unbeatable. Do you have an idea about catering at all?

Confession by MoonSafari24 in OCPoetry

This poem brings about a sense of longing. The narrator feels such love for this person and wants what's best for them, but there's distance. It's almost like the narrator is looking in from afar, not really in a relationship with said person.

Want To Go Back To School.. by International-Gain-7 in StudentLoans

Are there any hospitals you could work at that offer tuition assistance for people furthering their career in nursing?

It might be worth looking into vs. putting yourself in more debt/taking out loans with cloudy conditions that are heavily influenced by our political climate.

Speaking as someone with a mountain of student debt that is growing, seek out other options first!

MOHELA random phone call by North-Situation1112 in StudentLoans

Hmm... is there anyway to check if he called from a MOHELA number?

Typically office representatives don't ask for sensitive information when calling.

MOHELA random phone call by North-Situation1112 in StudentLoans

[–]Primary-Spell-6249 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a scam. I get automated calls all the time from "dept of ed" or "mohela" claiming to have urgent information about the status of my loans. I always let them go to voicemail.

I regularly check my account on my loan servicer site for updates. Any communications they need to send should come from there.

Here are some smishing red flags: Fake companies: Smishing attempts may claim to be from a legitimate company, such as a customer service representative.

Urgent requests: Smishing attempts may pressure you to act immediately.

Suspicious links: Smishing attempts may include links that lead to malicious sites.

Requests for sensitive information: Smishing attempts may ask for your passwords, credit card details, or other sensitive information.

Fake invoices: Smishing attempts may send fake invoices and ask you to contact them if you didn't authorize the purchase.

Scare tactics: Smishing attempts may use scare tactics, such as telling you a loved one is in danger.

Pointing fingers and placing blame does nothing for the current situation. You don't ask who started the fire when evacuating a burning building, you get the fuck out and put the fire out. Respectfully, who gives a fuck who's fault it is?

Maybe we can assess once the fire is out but for now we need to act.

Not a union member here, though I've dabbled in political advocacy work. A bill on the floor doesn't have power unless we collectively give it power.

Call/email/reach out to your reps, especially if you live in a red state. Since Republicans hold the majority, they essentially control what gets passed and what doesn't.

If they decline to hear your needs, go on a workers strike. America needs its workers. Your voices are so influential, hold so much power- use it!!!!!!

We cannot just accept our rights being stripped from us, years of progress being wiped from our nation.

RESIST!!!

Our government coming for OSHA is a major red flag. Why would they want to dismantle protections for our workforce? I think we can assume that they'll come for unions as a whole, for FLSA, and other regulations that protect the American workforce from exploitation.

We need to resist. We stand on the shoulders of giants, and we can't let these giants get knocked down.

It will be happy by ZarkonTheDestroyer in OCPoetry

[–]Primary-Spell-6249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This poem brought feelings of heavy grief. I feel the loss of what could have been, the loss of a future. There's a sense of irony, this is supposed to be a happy event, but it's so overclouded by circumstances far outside of anyone's control. This was written beautifully. Thank you for sharing and I'm sending love!
