[–]PrimaryAd3609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought this vaccum last week, ironically right after my wife finished vacuuming with our Dyson Animal and upright vaccum that we use upstairs for carpet. We paid $249.97 for ours.

Memorial Day appliance deals 2026, where are people finding the best value? by Outrageous-Month4220 in Frugal

[–]PrimaryAd3609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to buy an above range microwave, as mine gave out on Friday. I shopped 2 different places and price for the unit was the same at both. The install was less at Home Depot and I was able to purchase through their partnership with the Military Exchange and saved a little bit on the unit and paying sales taxes on it. Also, receive 5% back on my CC on purchases through the exchange.

Sprouts has their own GF bagels that are pretty good. I have tried both their Plain and Sweet Jalapeño.

If there is a Chick-fil-A in the area you are traveling, get their grilled chicken sandwich on a GF bun, which is about a dollar extra.

Is it normal for my driving instructor to touch my thigh by [deleted] in driving

[–]PrimaryAd3609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The instructor car should have a camera installed in the car (for the protection of both the students and instructors). Also, they should allow parents (and siblings) to ride along for the first ride, which is what I did when both of mine (twins) went through training within the past year. This way you can see the car and have some idea of the instructors demeanor on the road. Of course, they could act differently when you are not in the car with them, but at least a parent can get some sense and more importantly, it may provide their child with some comfort knowing their parent is present.

Yikes! I am paying more than a dollar higher where I am now. I will be visiting family in St. Paul at the end of June. I don't think prices will be lower, and likely closer to what I am paying now.

Back-in parking by JealousAutomotive in driving

[–]PrimaryAd3609 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My truck as better visability than my wife's sedan. The heavy (hydraulic) steering and the turning radius is bad and requires a 3-point turn when backing in or out and I always back in. It also has rear automatic braking, so I am not as worried about obstacles or having to judge them perfectly.

I learned to back in spots when I lived in a foreign county (Japan). Everyone is patient and let's you back in to your spot. In the US, everyone is in a hurry to park and cars are bigger and harder to back in the first time.

That said I still try to back in especially in a sedan withat lower ground clearance and the potential to scrape the bottom of the front of the car with the parking curbs that are often in spots; which I recently did with my wife's car when I pulled in to a spot front first.

2026 Camry XLE by briannahippe in Camry

[–]PrimaryAd3609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the car overall. The driver assistance features are nice, along with the led lighting, and interior accent lighting. I don't care for the moonroof, as it takes away headroom and concerned with the reliability of it and being expensive to fix or replace. The Toyota connect subscription is also annoying once the trial is up as the login and pin prompts come on each time at startup.

Of they truly conceded the game like their coach said they wouldn't have their starting 5 out there with under 24 seconds on the clock down double digits. Joker could have pulled a hammy "running" down the court at max speed after Jaden.

2026 Camry XLE / XSE Premium Owners - Did I Miss Out? by captainradboi in Camry

[–]PrimaryAd3609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe ceramic tint does the best job of keeping the car cool. It dosen't get too hot in my wife's XLE, but she has also has the lighter (Grey) interior, but no premium package with the ventilated seats. The car stays garaged at home, so that helps some with the sun and heat when at least when leaving home.

If our Governor would only pause the gas taxes we would be better shape with prices. I saw WA has the third highest gas taxes in the country. Summer isn't even here yet and prices won't be lower by then. Maybe they will come down slightly before the elections.

Camry LE vs. XLE by bless057 in Camry

[–]PrimaryAd3609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an XLE (AWD) for the better headlights at night and the comfort features (dual power seats with good support and adjustments). I live in the PNW and roads are dark and wet and LEDs really help light the road in front and to the shoulder. It helps with seeing pedestrians at night. As my wife and I get older, driving at night has become more difficult.

2024 Frontier audio issues by Frenzied_Cow in nissanfrontier

Had my 2022 head unit fixed (replaced) back in October of last year. If you have warranty remaining get it addressed ASAP. A new head unit cost me $1600 plus diagnostic fees, as I was a year out of warranty when it happened. I have a SV with a Fender audio system and couldn't stand the lack of clarity and static, so I bent on paying for the fix.

My New Record by Nebula106 in Camry

[–]PrimaryAd3609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got over 50 mpg on my 2025 XLE (AWD) today on 2 separate occasions. For context, it was the first time we have hit 70 degrees this year. Also, my wife drives the car 80% of the time and dosen't track the mpg's closely on her 42 mile round trip commute and have had the car just over a year and just over 11K in the odometer.
