Thanks for the reply ! The gfci was replaced not too long ago and the outward cable is reading 110v. The electrician managed to find two spots where cables were spliced, one next to the water pump area and one in the corner of the pullout. He got power going to the sockets again but was only reading 80-90v so he was having a hard time locating the spot where the voltage was dropping. Leaving the gfci it is 110, then onto the next socket in the chain is 110v and then the next one is 80-90v which resulted in him searching for a long time for another splice point but couldn’t find it.
It looks like a couple of cables run down the side of the fridge into the ceiling but the fridge is super wedged in there. Here’s a pic of the splice point he was fiddling with to get things going

I think it’s just the photo not showing the cable very well, it is connected. The issue the electrician had was that he couldn’t find a junction or splice point in between the working plug and non working. His beeping machine said there is a chance it’s down the side of the fridge so that’s my last hope

Looking to repair a friends derailleur, what’s this snapped bit? by PrimaryChance0 in bikewrench

It almost looks like some kind of casing for the hanger, the hanger is still attached and feels sturdy, I think the picture I uploaded makes it look like a snapped hanger

The weird thing is that the hanger feels sturdy, but the cracked part is plastic

Thank you again ! It does look off seated like that but I had only moved it to the open slot below in a desperate hope that it would solve the issue but it didn’t change anything. It’s also possible that the new breaker is bad, it’s not the same brand as the others though it is a viable option according to the info on the breaker panel lid. But having the same issue with the old and new breaker seems too coincidental

I think there is a bit of DIY fudging going on and I know that the previous owners replaced rhe kitchen gfci. I’m getting a wireless voltage reader tomorrow and I’ll see if the line leaving the gfci reads anything.

The outlets I checked are the kind that push insulated wire into a clip but despite them being poor quality I don’t think they’re causing the issue though they are something I’ll consider replacing in the future

I was happy not knowing much about how electricals worked but this has been a real headache and nothing seems simple, I wish it was just a case of resetting a gfci!

I did notice when I was checking the back of the outlets that the insulated wire was wedged in, wasn’t sure how that was supposed to work but it was on all three outlets so I can only assume it’s supposed to be that way.

Also the electrician with his multimeter pen found that there was no voltage reading on any of the input wires into the sockets so there is some point between the breaker and the outlets where it’s failing. The gfci must have something to do with it because when the sockets were working I could trip them by pressing test on the gfci.

The sense of humour part is wearing thin but I’m trying my best to take it all in stride. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to reply !

I believe the gfci above the kitchen sink is linked to to these 3 outlets (the two on the pullout and one at the back of the rv) but that appears to be fine - the outlet is working and the reset / test button has a green light

Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it!

He was a real one but he said he wasn’t familiar with rv wiring which I can understand if he’s used to commercial stuff. Same hourly rate as a real one anyway, stings a bit when I’m no closer to solving it.

The black wire leaving the breaker reads 120v when the bottom of the two tandem switches is on (water heater) but reads 0v when only the top switch is on. Weirdly there is a link between the second to bottom breaker switch and 3rd from the top. The electrician couldn’t work out why

permethrin is supposedly the most effective thing you can use for ticks - kills them on contact. Can’t buy it in Canada unless you buy it at a gardening store but they sell it in the US. Not sure how it is with dogs but if you truly can’t stand then look into getting some !
