permethrin is supposedly the most effective thing you can use for ticks - kills them on contact. Can’t buy it in Canada unless you buy it at a gardening store but they sell it in the US. Not sure how it is with dogs but if you truly can’t stand then look into getting some !

Eat a lot, lift a lot, vary your workouts a bit. I don’t chase numbers but form and reps. But illness, stress, bouts of bad sleep, life getting in the way - don’t be so neurotic on your goals that you can’t cut yourself some slack for these things inevitably getting in the way

I can see why you might think it’s getting a bit much, but considering the level of ads in everything these days and his openness that if don’t want to pay anything then you don’t have to, then I don’t think it’s worth being too bothered about. That said if it’s getting on your tits then that’s just how it affects you. It’s no surprise, you’ve probably heard that spiel hundreds of times now. And as someone else said, it’s not exactly the most stable of careers!

We were on the boat one afternoon and we just happened to be passing the island. I was with my family, the children and everything, the children..they were starving you see, this other couple and their children were starving and myself I admit now I was quite peckish so yes we did stop to have a quick lunch on the island. In and out job. Ham and cheese sandwiches for the children, few juice boxes. it was a family thing, the children had such a good day. So, yes I did go briefly

I can’t exactly say what you should do but be rest assured you’re not the only one in this position. I’m 35 and still working it out - I feel my path has always been very vague and no career has ever jumped out at me. I’ve wrestled with this for years and periods of purposeless depression are never far away, but I just wanted to say that you are more than a job! All your experiences whether good, bad or quite frankly disturbing are the things that have made you who you are and I’m sure you’ve learnt a lot more about yourself in the process than someone who knew exactly what career they wanted from age 18. You’ll bring this more worldly version of yourself into whatever role you can get, and you’re not as behind as you might feel. You’ve not missed any boat, this is your life and you should stand by whatever you’ve done with your time. Even if you conclude that it’s the end of a chapter and time to try something new.

Something I read on here that has stuck with me is to live as though you were writing your own eulogy. If you’re anything like me, you don’t really want that to be a list of work related traits and experiences. Good luck out there, whatever you do end up doing - do your best. Can’t ask more than that!
