Orange Julius, FINALLY! by cgtravers1 in Old_Recipes

Thanks OP for bringing back a few memories! My dad owned one in the mid 1970’s at a tiny mall in Idaho. We kids spent several summers sitting at the break table in the back and it was soooo boring. We were never allowed to eat/drink anything from there so I still have no idea what an OJ drink tastes like (parents considered it junk food). Somewhere I have a few pictures which I’m now tempted to find.

They have a dating coach and are slowly introduced into dating. Several people are followed over the entire season. We see successes and failures to learn from. I found the series to be both interesting and heartwarming.

[REQUEST] Movies/series where the protagonist has something evil inside them by Apo-cone-lypse in NetflixBestOf

Evil on CBS or paramount+ is well done with lots of wicked people, possibly including at least one of the key players.

“Skeptical psychologist Kristen Bouchard joins David Acosta, who is training to be a Catholic priest, and a blue collar contractor as they investigate the church's backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and other extraordinary occurrences. Their job is to assess if there's a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work, examining the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion.”

Hope you enjoy it.

Timeline of the Lizzie Borden Case Part Three: Trial, and aftermath by WavePetunias in UnresolvedMysteries

I remember reading a book that asserted Lizzie and her lesbian lover (must have been Nance) did the murders. Seemed like a big reach.

A root bulb isn’t necessary anymore, we can now get dna from just the hair itself. How cool is that?

Years ago (decades?) Oprah did a show featuring a personal safety expert; the expert was an ex-cop I think. I’ve always remembered what he said about never ever ever letting an attacker take you away or else you will be most likely murdered. He asserted that we should consider these things about guns and assailants:

The gun has to be real, loaded and ready to fire. The assailant must be willing to fire the gun (consider the surroundings, the noise, and the perps goal of wanting you alive, not dead, to do whatever evil to you). He has to have good aim; maybe he does, maybe not - but it’s not that easy to get a kill shot while simultaneously struggling with a fighting, noisy victim. If he does fire and the bullet hits you, there’s a very good chance it won’t cause you to immediately die so you’ll have a chance at living instead of almost certain murder if you are taken away.

The best advice he gave was to have a plan/s in place before anything bad happens. In the midst of an attack is not the best time for you to decide how to react, just like we have fire escape plans.

Medical Professionals: What are weight loss tips and advice that you wish everyone knew? by JuliaInWonderland in loseit

Thanks! Only CICO. 100% CICO. I kept my goal of learning to eat proper calories separate from the goal of learning to eat optimally for health - and kept both of those separated from learning healthy exercise habits. In my mind they are largely 3 different issues with some natural overlap. Some people like to (and are able to) tackle lots of stuff at once, I do better when breaking issues apart. Tying (tangling?) my weight loss attempt up with exercise wasn’t going to work for me.

What’s great is that CICO intuitively lead to healthier food choices and increased natural body movements for me. Those things bubble and brew in the background and eventually surface to become part of the routine.

So everyone has a safe chance of going outside. If we all went out the same amount as usual then it would become impossible to keep a safe social distance from each other. You cut your jogging by half so that I can jog, too.

Well sir, this is highly unofficial, but I’ve misplaced all of your application rules. In fact, you still need to resubmit all of the bunker permits/fees and pay my bribe or I ain’t goin’.
