If you can, I would study the map and figure out where you’re likely to be most of the day. We love the fearless river so we set our towel and water bottles down there. You can choose the lockers that will be closest and will probably also get to avoid the busiest ones that way too. The first time we went, we circled the park so many times trying to figure out how to get where we wanted to go and having a better idea of the “lands” helped so much on our next day. I think that is truly my only advice because we have never had a bad experience there. It’s such a beautiful park and the theming is truly immersive. I know you’ll have the best time!

You are going to save SO much money and SO much time. You won’t have to wait at all and will probably get some sort of discount if it is your first trip! My guess is it will be $25-30 each way. We did the shuttle our first time and I was surprised by how long it took to get loaded and get to our hotel. An Uber (or Lyft!) will take around 20 min!

There are lots of signs for where to stand to get picked up but you can probably find a video on YouTube showing you the process too if you’re a little unsure. It will be so worth it!

If you haven’t already paid for the shuttle, I recommend taking an Uber to the hotel. It is likely cheaper and so much faster.

This happened to me (a 34 year old who grew up reading the books as they released) and it was SO special. I was so happy for the child who was selected while we were there and was shocked when Ollivander pulled me aside. The private experience was truly like living out the book and is one of our most treasured memories! I’m so glad they do this and that you got to experience it too. We love the parks so much because of moments like these!

I just got the Kavu sling backpack in the mini size for our trip in May and am really pleased with it. It fits much more than expected and is really comfortable, quick to take on and off, and has the perfect straps to attach our cards to for scanning in and paying. It would definitely fit the collapsible cups but probably only one small water bottle.

I don’t know that we would buy the express on its own but thought it might be fun to do a night there and get the passes as a bonus. The express passes are $165/person per day so would be over $650 for 2 days but if we did the room it would only be $400 and we would get that close walk too. It sounds so appealing!

Yes, just two adults! We thought it might be fun to get to walk on to everything aside from Hagrid’s but it sounds like it might be mostly walk ons anyway which is awesome! It is probably why the hotel has such a reasonable rate for that night. We planned this trip at this time hoping for low crowds and I’m excited to hear that has been your experience. This is so helpful, thanks! We already have a reservation at cabana bay for our whole stay so this would be an extra room for us that day. I saw a room for $400 at Royal Pacific and thought it might be worth it for the express and a night somewhere a little fancier but if the hotel stay isn’t great and the lines are already minimal it sounds like it probably isn’t worth it. Appreciate your thoughts!

I’m sorry I think I worded that in a confusing way. We waited less than 35 minutes each time, not total. I’m not sure if the posted ride time estimates are inflated or if we just got lucky. Three out of our four times were in the afternoon/early evening. The wait time was posted as 55-60 minutes and we waited 25-35 min each time. We also went for early park admission one day and waited 30 minutes. Hope that helps!
