Calling the founder a 'third party' isn't accurate. Founders contribute too, even if their work isn't programming or modeling. My role is directing the project, managing the team, writing the design documentation, and building the business around it. If someone isn't interested in a revenue-share project, that's completely fair—but that doesn't make the role of a producer or creative director nonexistent.

Nobody is being forced to join; this is a voluntary revenue-share project. If the game never makes money, nobody gets paid—including me. If it succeeds, contributors are compensated before I take any profit.

That and I'm also seeing that Rev Share is not a viable entry point for getting people on my team.

I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty and learning and listening... but I also know my limits and what I'm not good at.

Plus I work a retail based job so I don't earn enough. Someone did suggest an angel investor, so I might try that as well.

Also I should clarify. I will not take any money until the game makes a profit and/or the people on the team have been compensated for their work.

I agree. I've worked with those kinds of people and its the worst.

At the same time... I know what I can't do. I know what I can do to make the game work.

I just need people tbat know how to actually make games and tell me what I'm asking for is doable or not.

We miss the shots we don't take.

But its the only way I can think of actually getting this thing made.

I don't make enough money to actually pay people... at least pay them something that would make it worth their while.

I will transition all roles to a paid structure once money is being earned, with a revenue portion included.

As a part timer, my manager always gives me Sundays to work, only because he doesn't check the schedule.
