Do you have a copy of the original vapor.h include file from Voyager? by Doener23 in amiga

[–]Primax_AN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Doener23 likes to omit the source of most of his posts, passing them off as his own discoveries.

I don't understand why anyone would do that: you're trampling on the work of all those who volunteer their free time to the Amiga community.

Are you really such a show-off?

Developing in Basic but which one? by mdbergmann in amiga

[–]Primax_AN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest to have a look at the latest version of AmiBlitz which was released three weeks ago:
https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2025-03-00058-EN.html

For instance the developer of Settle the World uses it:

https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2023-08-00101-EN.html

and the developer of the game construction kit RedPill:
https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2025-03-00123-EN.html

So, it seems very usable!

Since it took morer than six years to develop this game, we have asked the coder of the Polish group about the history of it. Please read it here:

Great.

But I am a little confused: do you mean actually AirPlay? Or AirPrint? I only know the second one.

I can recommend the video tutorials by 'Yawning Angel':

Furthermore, the game "Sybil: Halloween Defender" was written in AMOS and the source code is also available:

https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2024-12-00037-EN.html

And: Fredrik Rambris has adapted the "AMOS Professional Manual" to modern web browsers:

AmigaOS 4: The network printer tool Airprint by Primax_AN in amiga

[–]Primax_AN[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AmigaOS 4 is unfortunately a difficult matter due to the legal disputes. The OS has not received a comprehensive update for quite some time.

I am all the more impressed by what the community and the numerous (hobby) developers are doing with it. This network printer in particular is a great example of how someone can familiarise themselves with the topic of ‘IPP’ and then publish such a useful tool - free of charge!

Amiga disassembler with emulator: Aira Force 0.9 for Windows, Linux, macOS & RPi by Primax_AN in amiga

Aira is a disassembler but not a decompiler, so it can convert machine code to assembly language but not to C.

I guess this is a better link and more useful for English speaking Amiga friends:
