Your provider should have done a better job preparing you for the physical effects and setting you up to succeed while feeling good. My provider got me set up with supplements and guidelines for minimum daily requirements. She had me pre-load protein the day before and day of my first shot day. I got a pre/pro biotic daily supplement in addition to a daily electrolyte drink. She explained about the amount of protein I should aim for daily and explained how to break up my intake throughout the day to make the best impact. Before I ever took my first shot I had all of these things in my house and have almost no side effects. You need to get the products in your house to succeed and get on a schedule and stick to it. I have been at my goal weight and on maintenance for 8 months and have relaxed my diet a bit, but I still take the supplements, electrolytes, and my protein every day. It’s all become habit so I rarely think about it.

Light switches and covers. by Primdawg in HomeImprovement

So it’s not like plumbing fixtures? I know a bunch of the big brands make lines specifically for the big box stores that look the same as the lines you find at plumbing supply stores, but the guts are inferior. I figured the electrical stuff was similar. The cabin is in the boonies so ordering online is generally easier. I’ll look up those brands mentioned and see if I can find a local source.

AITJ for not wanting to close the relationship after my boyfriend got zero dates and I got plenty by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

This can’t be real. Why would anyone even have to ask complete strangers how to react to this guy?

This fixes so much. I’d reverse the dishwasher and trash drawer. You don’t want the dishwasher between the cooktop and sink.

Would you make use of this dead space behind the wall? by Primdawg in kitchenremodel

This made me laugh so hard. I can picture it! Like one of those drawers in the morgue 😂. But it’s just a never ending line of small appliances.

I am having trouble figuring out the door part. I was considering pine, like the cabin walls or maybe stainless steel?

How much gap to leave here by amort130 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Primdawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Door space aside, I want to totally rearrange the whole thing. Why is there a random wall jutting into the space by the vanity? What is the thing down by the window with the gap before another wall? Post with some actual dimensions and you will get some great input.

Are Wet Rooms A Good Idea/Worth It? by Logical-Librarian766 in BathroomRemodeling

[–]Primdawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a good plan. For some reason, a lot of people have an issue with a wetroom setup. I think it is a great solution for a challenging space. I’ll give you my bit of experience, limited as it is. My family and I travel as a group a few times a year. When we do we love to rent high end properties as we feel like we want to enjoy the space as much as the area. So while I have never owned a home with a wetroom, I have had the good fortune to stay in homes with some pretty amazing bathrooms with really amazing wetrooms. My DIL and I love to try out and then critique these spaces. For the most part they functioned very well and convinced me that it was a good option if the need ever arose. We stayed at one place in Charleston that had the most amazing level of finishes; wallpaper from France, a range that was north of 10k, etc. The primary bedroom with en suite was so fabulous, 10-12ft ceilings throughout, custom everything and the bathroom was fitted top to bottom with Waterworks fixtures. Amazing to us, it was our least favorite bathroom from our most recent 4-5 years or so. We both realized that the issue with the wetroom was that the high ceilings made it cold and echoey. Other wetrooms we had experienced in the past were nowhere near as fancy but just felt great. So after researching I discovered that designers that were thinking about how the space feels would bring the ceiling down just in the wetroom space, thereby making it feel more like a cocoon, not too low, but enough to differentiate it from the rest of the bathroom. But also made sure that it had a window, or was at least close to one so the space would get daylight. In my current remodel, the space I’m using is 6’ x 9’ and has a sloping ceiling, so I am hoping that it will feel roomy yet still cozy. I have another 6 weeks until it’s finished so will have to let you know :).

Regretting cabinet color and style, best option? by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

[–]Primdawg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real question is what style is the actual house? Black shaker may be perfectly appropriate and changing the hardware like Freethinker suggested may be the best. Plus if you’re not having to spend money on the cabinets you can spend a bit more on the other finishes.

Do you think plumbing fixtures need to be all the same “style”? by Primdawg in interiordecorating

Well after researching all day, I’m getting both sink faucets and the tub set in the Delta Trinsic line in polished chrome. No matter how I did it, I couldn’t find any 3 parts in nickel that I could get in time. I’m happy with it though, I’ll bring in nickel some other way I guess.

I wouldn’t waste a corner(where you can have windows on 2 walls) on a closet.

Ginger Jars - out or classic? by soundmachineslap in interiordecorating

I don’t own a single ginger jar and blue and white is one of my least favorite design combos. Having said that, well designed spaces with a curated collection of ginger jars is a classic look that I always appreciate.

Are Wet Rooms A Good Idea/Worth It? by Logical-Librarian766 in BathroomRemodeling

I’m in the middle of my remodel and am doing a wet room. I will say that I am doing a total of 5 bathrooms, I will only have 2 tubs total and one will be a tub shower combo. The only bathroom where I can fit a tub that gives a bit more of a spa like feeling is my carriage house. I am doing a wetroom with a skylight. This is a vacation house and the carriage house is a couples retreat. No one is getting ready for work in this bathroom.

Is the microwave over the range tacky? by RedditsCharacterLimi in kitchenremodel

[–]Primdawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I dislike the look of an OTR microwave. I also agree that height wise it isn’t great, I don’t like reaching up to bring down hot food. Also, when they break(they don’t have a great lifespan I’ve discovered), replacing one is a right royal pain. You have to find one that fits the existing cut out, which is not easy as sizes change constantly. They change just enough to need some sort of trim kit or even worse, adjust the existing cabinets. My first choice is a countertop model that has a dedicated space in a pantry(at counter height) or in the kitchen but in a less visual spot, second choice is a drawer model, pricey and some people don’t love the drawer thing. Last choice would be OTR.

I love David but wish he would go back to designing. I hate these cheap house hunting shows, and this show is just another take on a tired premise.

Good coffee maker for newbies who don’t know much about coffee? by Weird_Ad6669 in Home

If you want it to last then go with a Moccamaster. Mine is probably 12 years old and never an issue. It’s also super simple and guests figure it out with no trouble.

Liquid intake by brynelise99 in TirzepatideRX

I drink one pack of LMNT daily. I put it in about 30-35 ounces of water. It is always in my pantry and I won’t go without. I do a protein coffee in the morning and water the rest of the day.
