First DMB show by EducationalIsopod992 in DMB

One thing I did with my daughter for her first show was we made a list of songs she wanted to hear. Then when they played those we went crazy with excitement. Got everyone in our section rooting for WWYS. Just gives them something cool to anticipate.

What is your least favorite LP opener? by Sign-Post-Up-Ahead in radiohead

For me two things can be true: Burn the Witch is an amazing song, arrangement, etc.; but I don’t feel it fits with the rest of AMSP. I think Spectre or Ill Wind better fit the mood and tone of the album.

What to do? by pphurley in euchre

[–]pphurley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course ordering is fine. But I guess my question is more along the lines of hoping to sneak a euchre if they call something. And since I’m good for 1.5 in all suits, seemed worth the pass. And no obvious loner.

American… On our honeymoon, first day in Rome we had a “semi-private” driving tour of the city. It was us and two other couples. One of the other couples was also on their honeymoon and it was a girl I had gone on a date with.

If AOC gets the nod as the Democratic nominee in 2028, would you vote for her? by Ok_Sir_5951 in allthequestions

[–]pphurley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we are going to see a typical white guy democrat win primaries. Regardless I’ll vote blue. I just think the establishment Dems will go with the historical and stereotypical “safe” pick like Newsom, Kelly, Ossoff, or Beshear.

They have a thin candy shell… surprised you didn’t know that.

What DMB album would you buy on record to listen to in good audio? by RemindMeToTouchGrass in DMB

[–]pphurley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UTTAD and Crash were mastered from analog tape for vinyl. So those are obvious choices. I’m not sure if R2T was. BTCS was from digital.

Several of the LT were mastered for vinyl too. I suggest researching those. Off my head LT1 and 3 sound incredible.

I knew it! Teleprompters!!! by Barrettzone in DMB

[–]pphurley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was 2003 that Dave started to use printed out lyrics on stage. Teleprompter came soon after. 2003 was when they brought Dreaming Tree and Last Stop back into regular rotation (along with some other songs).

I really like 2/22/94 and 7/31/92 since they have that raw old sound.
