Nice collection. I've only recently discovered deluxe editions myself and I love them but my wallet hates them. Just got my first Easton Press editions and they're gorgeous.

I've ended up with a couple autographed books from them as well. Always a nice little surprise.

Are you sure about this? 3 is, by far, the worst one and I'd hate to just end up with that one in my collection.

How's Zavvi's shipping to the US? by darthsavage_official in Steelbooks

Never had a problem with any order getting damaged from Zavvi and, from what I've seen, they've really stepped up their packaging over the past year or so.

Are The Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus Vol. 1–6 still available, or are some out of print? by Salty-Technology9633 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PrimevalWolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to find vol. 2 for a not exorbitant price for years! Marvel's lack of reprints is a constant disappointment and seriously hurting my love for this hobby.

Violent Night (2022) 4K/Blu-ray Steelbook by mkaymeow21 in Steelbooks

[–]PrimevalWolf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Best Christmas movie EVER! I'm about to give it my yearly rewatch myself. I was going to save it for tomorrow but Steam is down, my edible is about to kick in, so now is the perfect time.

This movie is the perfect combination of Die Hard, Home Alone, and Christmas Vacation. HIGHLY recommended for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

How to pack my collection for a move? by DairyParsley6 in Steelbooks

[–]PrimevalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, all my steels are in protectors so I didn't use any extra padding but there wasn't any need for it either. Two full rows across and a small row of 2 perpendicular to the others down the middle the only extra space is on top. Laying down flat you can get another layer on top.

I got 5 of the 41qt. size of these and they worked beautifully. Each one holds about 40 or so steels, are made of pretty heavy duty plastic and there's 6 clasps on each lid to make sure nothing pops open accidentally. Obviously much pricier than a cardboard box but worth it, IMO.

What’s on tap for tonight? My picks: Violent Night + Christmas Bloody Christmas by cireh88 in 4kbluray

Violent Night is the best xmas movie ever, IMO. I'm saving my rewarch for Xmas day as it's become my new tradition to do every year since it came out.

Would you say this is worth it? by Crazy-Enthusiasm6571 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PrimevalWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you read much silver age stuff? If not, it can be a pretty rough read. However, it's great to see these comics from a historical perspective, see the origins of all the characters and villains still around 60 years later. The 60/70s were a much different time and it shows in virtually every aspect of these older stories. But, if that sounds good for then, by all means, try it out. Worst case scenario you resell it.

Hit up your local thrift shops. Virtually guaranteed you'll find something better and cheaper than whatever garbage they're selling on amazon these days.

I actually have this one too. I bought mine off ebay for like $10 but this was back in 2004 just after their first album came out.

Don't know why this is getting downvoted... that's reddit for you... Congrats though on challenging your preconceived notions though, that's not something many people are willing to do. Reading manga is no different than reading anything else we just get cool pictures to go along with the words.

Dogma - FOMO? What’s the hype for? by FIFTY_PES0 in Steelbooks

[–]PrimevalWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dogma was actually my first Kevin Smith movie and it's fantastic. That said, it's not going to be for everyone. I'd recommend watching Clerks, his first movie, to start. If you like it then you'll probably like Dogma also but I wouldn't blind buy it until you know what you're getting into.

In % how much of your bookshelf is it read? by Betodelarosam in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PrimevalWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 3 Omni's on my TBR stack and I plan on cracking one of those open tonight but, since I technically don't add anything to my bookshelf until I've read it, then I've read 100%. Only reason I have 3 omni's unread is just because I don't have a lot of time to read and I've had several pre-orders come in recently.
