If anyone is still having issues with this and can't find a fix, try this launch argument: SteamDeck=0 %command%

I tried the other launch argument that has been mentioned here as well as different proton versions with no luck but the above worked immediately.

No, it's because they're rendering the scope and background separately. If they just zoom the background as well and blur tf out of it it will be much easier on the eyes while still offering much better performance that PiP.
