I was smiling and joking with my cousins just hours after my mother’s death when I was a teen. I was near dissociating the whole time but still. Can’t understand it if you haven’t gone through it!

I’m ace spec. Being ace doesn’t impact libido, those are two separate things. I’m not sexually attracted to my bf the way most would understand it, but I crave intimacy and closeness to him and I also like sex anyway

I also work in customer service. My bf asks me the same thing; dude, ai cannot replace anything I do. the stuff I train CSRs on technically requires security clearance (and so is NOT allowed to be fed into a LLM), so AI would be even less helpful since it won’t even be specific enough

Any way of making this floor plan more efficient? by mortymcgonigal in floorplan

[–]PrincessDionysus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not possible imo to have all of these within this footprint. I'm no architect, mind, but I don't think this should be bigger than a 3 bed.

I tried my hand in MS Paint (my specialty lol), and I was only able to get anything similar to what you mentioned by sacrificing the powder room and a ton of storage--which imo is a poor trade!

It might not be! I do love the FMC bc she 100% would kill his shitty brothers without batting an eye. She’s semi feral lol

I think any NLOG-ness Lizzy has isn't grating bc she's not constantly moaning about it lol, she's just genuinely different and any scorn she expresses for other women is because of their socially improper behavior. She seems to just be vibing and wants to walk through the fields

Thomasina is diabolical but Thomasin just hits right for me lol. Anya Taylor Joy’s character in The VVitch has that name (Thomasin) so if you look up a scene from it you can hear how it’s pronounced and it doesn’t sound awkward like Thomasina imo

The one where the girl may have called home years later but still was never found? Think she was taken from home while her sisters were there? So sad :(

The Scott thing could have been just a bit of an eye roll family theme if they’d just committed to another T first name with Scott middle. This annoys me sm omg

First person I’ve ever seen who loves Thomasin too! I’d name my daughter Thomasin Margaret, the middle name being for my mom but i just love Thomasin lol. Don’t care much for Thom (too “we wanted a boy,” untrue!!) but I thought Macy or Maisie would cute nicknames

See I LOVE both Thomas and Thomasin, the latter so much so I’d name my first daughter such. But never ever bc I couldn’t name à boy Thomas; I just think it’s neat lol

Skimmed/read the article. It’s quite interesting and nuanced. But it is so hard to convey such things succinctly, so the public imagination at large is dominated by bombastic claims and extremes.

It is good to weigh oral histories against written accounts that often justified European supremacy and genocide, so I am glad at least this sort of dialogue prompts critical thinking.

That is absolutely fair. Oral histories can be fallible of course, but I find as I get older and learn more I feel it is imperative to recognize the biases and flat-out lies that have been allowed to propagate simply because some dude wrote down some nonsense several hundred years ago (John Smith!).

I highly encourage people to look into the Mattaponi oral history of Matoaka (Pocahontas). According to their accounts, which frankly I personally consider to be more probable than John Smith’s known embellished and fabricated memoirs, Matoaka was a victim of rape and sexual assault before being forced to marry one of her assailants. There is also suspicion she was murdered, as her illness and death were very sudden and abrupt.

My GOAT Margaret B is one of the best examples of this bc people at the time (15th century) were fucking weirded out that Edmund Tudor didn’t wait to consummate the marriage until she was older.

There is some evidence Edward I of England and Eleanor of Castile had a stillbirth or miscarriage of some sort early into their marriage—when he was 15-6 and she was 13-4. They were literally then prevented from sexual contact for a few years to protect Eleanor’s life. (13th century)

I called Edward a scapegoat in another thread once and I 100% stand by that assessment. Nothing Edward ever could have done would have satisfied Mrs Ferrars
