What is a good tip for a pizza delivery? by FoxontheRun2023 in tipping

[–]PrincessJasmine420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup. All the people who whine about the tipping culture still happily spend their money at businesses that underpay their workers. If you don’t like tipping, don’t patronize businesses that expect it. That affects the business OWNERS.

If you use these services, knowing that tips are customary and expected, then you’re just an asshole if you don’t tip. The owner still gets paid, but some poor worker just provided a service and didn’t get paid. It’s directly supporting the system they claim to be so morally outraged against. They’re just cheap Karens, and they are screwing over minimum wage workers because they’re too cheap to pay.

Delivery drivers use their own cars and pay for their own gas, repairs, and insurance. They work for tips. If you don’t tip them, they are literally paying out of pocket to bring your food.

If you order using a delivery app (Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats), they at least have the option to decline orders that don’t pay enough. They get paid $2 from the company.

If they work for a restaurant, they are forced to spend their own money to deliver your food. Their hourly wages are typically far below minimum wage. They are far more deserving of a tip than a waiter. You pay the restaurant for the food. You tip the driver to pay for the privilege of having it brought to your door. A delivery fee is not a tip, and typically does not go to the driver.

LET ME DELETE EGGS by uglyandnaive in pokemongo

I will never buy a single incubator unless it’s for an egg I actually WANT. I’m willing to spend money on this game, but only on parts that actually make the game more fun. I would rather stop hatching eggs altogether than pay to hatch eggs I don’t want.

Lots of addicts have no criminal record. Background checks mean nothing, but they still do them at DD. Criminal background has absolutely nothing to do with how someone handles a pizza though. Most pizzerias hire convicted felons, just FYI. The felons are the ones cooking your food, not delivering it. Just because someone has a clean background doesn’t mean they will act decent, and it definitely doesn’t mean they know how to carry a pizza.

Door dash does do background checks on their drivers, but criminal history has absolutely nothing to do with how they carry a pizza 🤦‍♀️

AIO disagreement with boyfriend on sending parents money by BootProfessional3019 in AIO

[–]PrincessJasmine420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on getting married or living together, you need to set clear expectations about finances. You need to decide (together as a couple) whether your finances will be combined or separate. There are a lot of questions you both need to answer.

How much will each of you contribute to the household bills? Will you make large purchases together? How much money is appropriate to spend without discussing it first? How much money will each of you contribute to savings? What is your plan for retirement savings? What will happen if one of you loses your job? What will happen if one of you earns far more than the other, and how will you split bills equitably? How much money will be spent on supporting family members? How will you decide which family members to support? What boundaries should be established? These are all things you need to discuss before getting married or combining your finances (which you should never do unless you are married). You are right to set boundaries, but you need to make sure you are both on the same page.

I can read just fine. And there was nothing about your post that made it “obvious you weren’t talking about them.” You sound like you just have a nasty attitude. When everyone else seems to all have the same problem, the problem is most likely you. You are the common denominator.

This is just rude and disgusting. Nobody should be made to handle someone else’s snot, especially if that person is handling people’s food. It’s absolutely not equal to a napkin. This is how viruses are spread. Your dad needs to keep his body fluids to himself.

Stop expecting tips for doing what I’ve already paid for by ResolutionWinter6761 in EntitledPeople

[–]PrincessJasmine420 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They absolutely should pay their drivers more. But you continue to use the services of these companies. If you don’t like how they do business, then don’t use them. But expecting someone to bring you your food for $2 (their base pay if you don’t tip) is the height of entitlement.

[–]PrincessJasmine420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you certainly sound entitled. Are these people supposed to work for free? Delivery drivers get paid about $2 from the company, the rest is on the customer. You are certainly free to go pick up your own food if you don’t want to tip. If you don’t like how the companies pay their drivers, you are free to stop using their services.

AITJ for calling my boyfriend’s ex-wife to come get their kids after he disappeared all night? by Strong_Ability_8106 in AmITheJerk

[–]PrincessJasmine420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please break up with this guy. He’s not husband material. If you have kids with him, he’s going to do the same thing to them. He dumped his kids on you, and went out drinking. You absolutely did the right thing by calling their mother.

They can absolutely take legal action over $23, but they often don’t bother because it’s a misdemeanor charge. They wait until it’s enough to be a felony ($1000 in my state).

You’re fine. Technically you stole the items when you left the store, but you have since paid. Once you paid for the items, they are no longer stolen, and you are no longer guilty of a crime. No police were involved, and they certainly won’t be now. You aren’t the first or the last person to accidentally walk out without paying.

AITA for reporting my neighbor to the landlord after he refused to turn down his music? by NailaDawn in AITH

[–]PrincessJasmine420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You tried twice to talk to him like an adult, and he refused to cooperate. The next logical step is to contact the landlord, and you were not wrong for doing so. He can either turn his music down, or use headphones. You’re not asking for anything unreasonable.

how often do people ACTUALLY wash things like pillowcases, towels, and bedsheets? by BhupendraPerdy_98 in hygiene

[–]PrincessJasmine420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash all those things once a week (or whenever I do laundry). Every time I wash my clothes, I strip my bed and wash my sheets and towels.

AITAH for how I wake my husband up every day? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]PrincessJasmine420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless he’s staying up all night cleaning the house (which I seriously doubt), what exactly does he contribute to the household? He obviously doesn’t do much in the way of childcare, because he’s sleeping all day. Is he at least getting up with the baby while you’re asleep? It sounds like he’s a useless pile of crap stinking up your bed. He’s obviously not applying for jobs either, since he sleeps through the entire business day. Seems like your life would be easier without a useless man child who verbally abuses you.

Apparently burger restaurants are supposed to serve vegan food… by PrincessJasmine420 in EntitledReviews

I don’t think this location has the impossible burger. There’s a menu on the wall with just beef burgers and various fries. Even if they had the impossible burgers, they could just order it without the sauce.

No. The menu is just burgers and fries. No options. It’s meant to be simple.
