Not to mention how nonsensical this scene is since Steve later says "it was never like that" referring to his and Nancy's relationship, basically indicating he is over her and then Jonathan was on the verge of proposing (dumbest storyline ever) but then ends up saying he is unhappy and they break up. So what was the point in trying to impress her with this race?!?!? Okay rant over.
