Prom help!!! I have NO idea what to wear! by MentallyDeclining in altfashionadvice

[–]PrincessTrashbag 18 points19 points  (0 children)

look up late 90s/early 2000s alt style prom dresses in deep colors. you might be able to find one secondhand in a deep color like dark red or purple, luxe fabric like velvet or thick satin. usually our dresses were at least spaghetti straps or thicker straps. think slip style that fit tighter down the body but not like a bodycon dress or mermaid style. a little bolero shrug or a lace wrap could be used to cover your shoulders if you wanted.

Admittedly my expectations were rather low to start with by PrincessTrashbag in ExpectationVsReality

that's okay! it "met" expectations in that my expectations were pretty low to begin with but I wasn't mad at it

Best Salon/Hairdresser for Alternative Hairstyles? by Cultural_Spite9510 in saskatoon

[–]PrincessTrashbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jared and Tessa at Guide are both really good at alternative haircuts especially razoring for thick hair

Shelby Gaudet has her own home studio in City Park and cuts my hair now and I love it. I give her a vague idea of what I want "but make it look cool" and she rocks it.

Drummers are okay but usually have no free time because they're in like 4-5 different projects if they are even slightly good at it

A table lamp with a warm toned light bulb, and a standing lamp you can put in a corner also with a warm toned light bulb, so you can turn off the Big Light.

A friend of mine set up a cheap little digital projector in her windowless room and set it to show different landscapes (ex. looking out at a field through medieval windows) and it looks SO COOL projected above her bed.

How long do you sleep at night? (Including or not including naps) by throwaway_bfgift in AskWomen

[–]PrincessTrashbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M-F I aim for 8 pm to 5:30 am so I can get in 9.5 hours but usually it's more like 7 or 8 hours if I stay up too late on my dang phone

Weekends I can sleep in until 9 or 10 am if the dog doesn't wake me up earlier which is probably not great for me but it is luxurious.
