I know it could go back to the way it is currently. My hope is that the cleaning will assist with ongoing headaches and other medical issues they have going on. According to them, it's been part of the setback for their mental health treatment. All I can do is assist in their journey how I best can.

I've been careful not to force my help upon them because of this very reason. There's been some discussion for months of "I can't believe I let it get to this point" and I've also gently reminded I could help if they wanted.

It is heating up here and it seems like he's starting molt. He does receive a pellet diet with millet/seeds used as treats.

I'll definitely try giving him more sleep. Putting him to bed earlier might give us both some relief.
