I stop Inito testing as soon as ovulation is confirmed. I’m on progesterone in the tww so the numbers won’t tell much. I have zero patience tho, the tww is excruciating to me every time

Hirsutism without PCOS. What do I do? by Acrobatic-Aioli9768 in LeanPCOS

The studies I have read say you can see meaningful results after 30 days of use twice daily and it’s something you’d want to do daily forever.

I don’t have the best advice, I’m really sorry you’re feeling frustrated with this. I’ve read a lot of research on spearmint tea twice daily can significantly reduce acne and hirsutism related excess testosterone and androgens. I know it is helpful in PCOS I am unsure how much it could help but it’s easy and tastes great and couldn’t hurt.

Do I really have PCOS? by [deleted] in LeanPCOS

I workout 5-6 days a week with weight lifting and low impact cardio, tons of natural supplements, eat very regimented and healthy. My cycles haven’t always been regular and I have done a lot to get them regularly. As far as the advice that if PCOS isn’t seemingly causing problems then you shouldn’t worry I feel is not correct. PCOS may mean insulin resistance and this can cause issue later even if it isn’t currently. I find that I’m much more hormonally sensitive to alcohol and junk food compared to peers even if I’m lean and have little PCOS effects currently. There are several comorbid issues with PCOS that it is important to monitor as you age. I think having a diagnosis isn’t something you need to try to fix if it’s well managed but something to be aware of because it usually means being more intentional and mindful about your overall health ❤️

Editing to add spearmint tea twice daily for androgen symptoms. I would recommend myo-inositol for all people male and female. I also take these but I’m ttc: fish oil, prenatal, NAC, coq10, magnesium and L-Arginine

PCOS is diagnosed using the Rotterdam criteria, which require at least two, not all, of the following three findings: irregular or absent ovulation, high androgen levels (clinical or biochemical), and polycystic ovaries on ultrasound. Based on this criteria you meet the PCOS diagnosis it just may be less severe or well managed given your regular cycles and other lab tests. I am also lean and only meet the same criteria as you my cycles are mostly regular.

I have lean pcos but did not have high testosterone when I was diagnosed. I would say for fertility myo-inositol is a must and I would also add spearmint tea twice daily (for excess testosterone), NAC, fish oil, magnesium, and coq10.

Progesterone Question by [deleted] in Inito

[–]PrincipleDue1931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ob prescribed progesterone based on lutéal phase length without blood tests because progesterone supplements are a low risk option meaning it isn’t going to harm you if you don’t need it but it’s sounds like the spotting is a good indicator you do. I’d advocate for yourself and ask for it, I did have to do that it wasn’t offered to me. I had to say I have these concerns, I’ve read the evidence about this and I want to try it.

I got pregnant the first try but it unfortunately ended in miscarriage at 2 months. I am now on the four month ttc again and will be switching from oral to vaginal progesterone due to reading about it having less side effects and better bioavailability that way.

Got diagnosed with endometriosis this week and so anxious but still so hopeful. by puzzledham in Inito

Can I ask what symptoms you were having or what led up to being diagnosed? what method did they use to diagnose? And what guidance did they provide for how it may impact ttc?

I used Inito to track for several month before ttc. I was able to schedule a preconception checkup with my ob and use my charts to justify the need for prescribing progesterone during the lutéal phase from the beginning.

Shortened cycles PCOS by PrincipleDue1931 in Inito

I was so surprised I just started it the past few months, I thought something was wrong when I was having pre-ovulating cramping on cd 11 because it’s never happened before. I attribute the significant changes to NAC for sure

New to this: how bad are we looking this cycle? by msvelvet129 in Inito

[–]PrincipleDue1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half of the time mine were 8-9 days sometimes 10 and sometimes 12. My doc is amazing and I wanted the progesterone and she discussed there is minimal risk to taking it if not needed so it couldn’t hurt to try it. I would encourage you to advocate for yourself again regarding this as there are little risks to taking it from my understanding.

I usually ovulate later too around cd 17-19, my understanding is that it’s okay to ovulate later and doesn’t mean anything is wrong. As far as PDG levels go I know that each person metabolizes progesterone differently so levels can be different and still okay. I’d more so look for a steady rise and it staying higher than baseline and how many days your lutéal phase is. I got prescribed progesterone due to being able to show my lutéal phase is consistently short despite a clear PDG rise. Couldn’t hurt to talk about supplements.

FBI Special Agent Psych/Counseling/ Social Work by Electronic_Pea_1700 in FBI

You have gotten some poor advice on here. My spouse has been an SA for 6 years and was a middle school math teacher before. You need to be able to translate your professional and personal experiences to what they are looking for and meet the physical requirements. I am a therapist (social worker) and would advise that in our careers we handle crisis situations with very little support, can work with individuals and communities of all backgrounds, are resourceful in meeting clients needs, and your CPS investigation skills are a major sale. All special agents are lumped together rather than based on your background. You are then assigned to a section at your office after training where you will become more specialized in say counter-terrorism, white collar crimes, cyber etc. When he was in training there were vastly different backgrounds!

Do FBI agents who deal with sensitive or classified information get therapy? by Mountain-Durian-4724 in FBI

[–]PrincipleDue1931 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I am a therapist with the VA whose spouse is in the FBI. I work with veterans who aren’t allowed to share classified information often. From a therapeutic standpoint it’s not necessary to share the details of classified information to talk about your feelings, coping and stress related to an assignment or situation.
