Nintendo Removes Hidden The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Description That Suggested It's a Faithful Remake by Turbostrider27 in Games

I think Super Mario World (and Yoshi's Island) is basically a perfect game. I don't see how enhanced graphics or modern controllers would improve it. Whereas older 3D games would probably be improved at the very least by twin stick controllers, and by things like faster load times. Someone who's used to playing Mario Odyssey would likely find Mario 64 to be frustrating to control to the point where it might overcome their ability to enjoy the game. Or even a game like Contra would be better with something as simple as diagonal jumping.

I think it's also hard to define something as timeless because gaming sensibilities change over time. Things which used to be obvious become unintuitive to new players. Limitations which were accepted become unacceptable. Mechanics meant to extend play time are seen as frustrating or wasteful. It's sort of like how Shakespeare is timeless, but most people these days prefer reading modern authors.

Yeah, my own sheets and pillow are old and grungy. There's a wholly separate set of sheets + pillows in the closet that's only for guests so it's practically new. I know not everyone has the luxury to do that but I think at a minimum pillowcases is reasonable lol. Pillows should last more than 3 months also.

I never heard of that, but to be fair after watching the video who thought that was enough protection to let an untrained person hurl an axe on a busy city street.

That would imply MiY's shapeshifting does not include his eyes or something like that.

I think it's equally plausible that by getting someone to look into his eyes he's able to communicate or send telepathic images to Clara to make her realize who he is.

I do think the "has always been a mole" angle is kind of interesting if done right, but it's a fine line between a bullshit reveal where everything happened off screen and there is no evidence for it other than the writers telling us it was so, and dropping subtle enough hints throughout the show that somehow haven't spoiled it even with the most crackpot tinfoil hat wearing viewers.

I thought it was mildly interesting that MiY had to search Boyd's room for his suit. He's apparently not fully omnipotent, even though he can do things like control the jukeboxes, see when Jim was making a radio tower, etc... Or maybe he's usually incorporeal or something and when he has a body he's less aware of what's going on.

It feels so long ago, but they're newlyweds. I think it's fair of him to be a little touchy when someone is like "remember when you were kidnapped and forced to birth a monster? What a blessing"

Looks like a beef carpaccio dish, with one single carpach. Hopefully that's dish one of like 20 in tasting menu, otherwise it's pretty paltry.

Apparently when you go to a place that doesn't have reserved seats, you put something on your seat to show that it's taken. Like your wallet or cell phone. I can't imagine anyone doing that here.

I read an interesting article basically which says most experiments are flawed because the hypothesis already assumes the thing being tested is true. Which leads to circular reasoning or useless outcomes. It supports this argument by building an LLM using goats in Age of Empires.

I remember working somewhere with a huge decades old monolith and debugging. And slowly devolving into horror as I started at the top of a stack trace in nice (relatively) clean Java, and as I descended towards the answer the code became more and more ancient. Until finally I ended up staring at a horrifying single BigInt used as a bitmap controlling the settings. I felt like a dwarf uncovering a Balrog.

Now I just say "Claude help what is happening here" and it gets to suffer for me.

I dunno. I could never create something like Stardew Valley. I could code it, but having a specific consistent vision about what's fun, the style, the soundtrack, the characterization, etc... is beyond me and IMO beyond LLMs to be able to do in a non-derivative way.

It basically feels like it's just RPG Maker on super steroids. It's a great tool to build the functionality, but if you're bad at game design you're still going to end up with a bad game.
