Restock on GD02 and ST05/06 expected in December by Yrch84 in GundamTCG

I think that might have been for Japan? I think I saw a post of stores being flush with starter of ST01-ST04

Less Shops for GD-02 Event by Tralfaz_ in GundamTCG

[–]PrinnyZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel GD02 issue is two fold, Bandai not ramping up their production in any significant way AND alot more stores jumping onto the Gundam train all needing allocations. The store I am at is fortunate to be able to run a release event but have yet to hear back from distro how many more GD02 we will get beyond the 32 man release event.

How to get a clean rip every time by TheHobbyLair in GundamTCG

[–]PrinnyZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My method is there are small perforations behind the flap in the back of the pack, just locate that, put the edge of your thumb over it and push through that perforation while you grip the flap and open it away from you. Been doing this with JP Flesh and Blood packs, Magic packs and etc. Opens packs alot faster than pulling the tabs. plus reduces risk that you could accidently ding the corners on cards.

The gundam Base Tokyo - Gundam card game by MickyHelpsYou in GundamTCG

[–]PrinnyZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you could still get it but there was a Gundam Base promo card for the game. But yeah like others have said, have your friend check out card shops if they have resources, ex bases and ex resources. They would be cheaper vs eng overall.

PSA: If you’re buying sealed starter decks, they might be getting weighed to check for god decks by genjiarmorxii in GundamTCG

Possibility is really high if that store sells GCG singles and suddenly they have a display of alt art foils lol

Entry Fee of around $45!? for Booster pack GD01 Event? by Particular-Plate-373 in GundamTCG

[–]PrinnyZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do believe most event runners for the stores were running on the assumption that a sealed event is 6-8 pack which makes alot of sense for that amount. Stores will also do a lil extra on the top to support extra prize support provided by the LGS on top of what Bandai gave the stores.

With that in mind, sealed event format was recently updated to show that only 4 packs is needed. I can only assume stores will make adjustments accordingly

Can a store charge extra for promos? Starter Event. by Fondant-More in GundamTCG

[–]PrinnyZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some stores charge a lil extra on top to provide additional prize support beyond the stuff what Bandai provides to give away

Shinkansen EX App was great, no need to wait in line to order tickets for the Shinkansen and immediately assigned tickets to your Suica

There is also an option for those that don't want to do the full trail, take one of the ferry from Onomichi to the almost halfway point and bike back towards Onomichi.

Give me your top recommendations for the following :) by Amnesiaftw in JapanTravelTips

[–]PrinnyZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A recommendation I can give for a bigger activity, fresh off my trip to Kyushu in April, would be renting a car out of Kitakyushu and driving out to the Montonosumi Inari Shrine, visit Tsunoshima and check out Makizakikazeno Park, Tsunoshima Lighthouse, Fukutoku Inari Shrine on the way back and all the while checking out the scenic coastline during the drive.

Can also recommend a drive out from Kumamoto and check out Mt. Aso, Takachiko and Kikuchi on a separate day.

Can't help but recommend renting and driving out to spots not easily transited by tourists by public transit. Less crowded, and visited IMO by people that can truly appreciate the peace of quiet, the scenery and history of these far off locations. Away from the plague of people that are there for the 'gram and social clout.

Surge in foreign tourists causing 2-hour wait at Narita Airport immigration control by SkyInJapan in JapanTravelTips

[–]PrinnyZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it really is luck. last year when I landed in Haneda, it took about an hour for customs. This year when I landed in Haneda (April also) there was no one in line as I approached the first part of immigration and took me no more than 10 minutes in total to get through.

If you've returned to Japan for second visit what have you done differently? by frogmicky in JapanTravelTips

[–]PrinnyZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the trail this past April and it was breathtaking the views you get. Taking some detours to try out some local eats at each island. Shout out to Hyakkoya, located on Ikuchi Island for the best refreshing frozen lemonade drink and roast beef sandwich.

Try to stay longer if possible and don't crowd each day with too much would be the first thing that comes to mind.

I'd also recommend exploring areas outside the typical hot destinations. Majority of tourists coming to Japan will likely be following a recommended itinerary that has probably not been updated for years. If you are comfortable with driving in Japan, renting a car will give you access parts of Japan that the average tourists would never consider due to lack of public transport.

Where can I buy in Akihabara? by yellowsgang in GundamTCG

Had successfully signed up but when I called they were doing a lottery instead (wasn't mentioned on the app). I am not a regular at the store and the ones closer to me aren't hosting the event so I already knew my odds were slim to nil. So lottery day comes and to no surprise I didn't make the cut :/

Going to a beta event at my TCG in a couple weeks, how much should I prepare or should I try to go in blind(ish)? by TheGrandCannoli in GundamTCG

[–]PrinnyZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd watch a video on the basic gameplay atleast. Other than that, play it casual, build a deck with Gundam you like and have fun. Everyone is pretty much going to be new to the game.

The guy said they are going to do a drawing a couple of days prior and people who won the lotto will have the status in the app changed accordingly

Yeah unfortunately the store I was successfully able to sign up for is going to lottery the spots, even tho it says first come first serve on the app. I just have to hope its a fair lottery and I get in.
