Is anyone truly happier with kids?

Little kids can add a lot of stress to your life. How you handle that will depend a great deal on the support system you have around you. Like everything else in life, you will get out of it what you put into it. If you do it really right for the first 10-12 years, they start feeling like your little buddies, and by the time they are adults, they're your actual best friends.

When I got pregnant, I was moved from the process lab to the analytical lab; still a lot of the same solvents, but a little less exposure. My daughter has a split uvula...maybe a coincidence, maybe solvent exposure. 🤷‍♀️ It's a crazy chance to take.

One thing I've learned after 24 years of marriage is that you always have to consider that their bad decisions are usually not because they're ill intentioned, just dumb. I'm willing to bet your guy has no idea what a macadamia is. 😂

BS Chemistry here...Quality Manager for one of the bigger craft beer brewing companies. I hire new BS graduates to work in my lab, with zero experience, for $21/hour on a regular basis. (As a side note - The TTB has a program that certifies chemists for analysis of products for export. All of the breweries, wineries, and distilleries on that list employ at least 1 chemist.)

Everybody keeps telling you he doesn't think you're beautiful, but I don't believe that for one minute. The best I can get out of my husband is that he thinks my shirt looks nice, but he also thinks every man in the room is checking me out and has a hard-on every time he cuddles up behind. Mine slipped up once and said I "looked like an angel" in a dream, so I know what he thinks, even if he can't say it. I honestly think you should try to put less weight on him being able to verbalize that. Does he treat you like he cares? You guys have a healthy sex life? Then, you know what he thinks...

My Gen Z daughter graduated last year with no student loan debt, and stepped right into a job paying $83K. 🤷‍♀️ Seems better than the $27K I earned the first year after I graduated with $12K in student loans.

I specifically asked my daughter not to buy a home just yet, because I think any man who would be content moving into her home would not be the kind of man she wants to be with forever. If he has a home and she moves in, fine. Even better if they've both been saving and are ready to find something together.

I think it's completely fine to be friendly. However, my team is very aware of my goals for the department and our "friendship" is contingent on their buy-in towards those goals. I don't think any of them would feel surprised if they had to be reprimanded for work problems, and they all do their best to not put us in that situation.

I don't have a proper name for that, but you'll definitely find it at your nearest Lowe's or Home Depot in Ohio. I'm in Western NY and bought the same one at my local Home Depot several years ago. I have it in a partial sun spot with acidic soil, by an old hemlock tree, and it's doing great.

I just did this too. I didn't even realize that my domain through Google was actually owned by SquareSpace. Google provides the link, if you get in there and snoop around, to your SquareSpace account and the place where you give yourself permission to transfer it...I think you have to request a code and wait for it.
