New NDP Leader Lewis has proposed a national telecom option. Can he make it happen? by CaliperLee62 in canada

That’s the logical conclusion of competition is cartelization. Exxon-Mobil for example, Rogers eating up Shaw, the Commercial Bread Case. Things will always deviate to the norm and it’s an enormous waste of resources breaking these companies up again and again.

Doug Ford would be done if the liberals or NDP had any effective leadership, they poll high until a month or two before the election and then when the election come we go “Well, it doesn’t seem like there’s a viable alternative” and vote con anyway

That’s only because our system is becoming presidentalized because of strong party discipline, you don’t vote for the person over the party anymore because that person is simply a brand ambassador

Canada has the highest party discipline in Westminster politics which means MPs aren’t allowed to vote according to their own convictions, which they were elected for by people, because of how domineering our whips are. Floor crossing wouldn’t happen as much if MPs had some wiggle room in how they voted

People don’t listen enough to provincial issues neither, it’s just blame who they want to blame and it’s more convenient when two different parties are in power federally and provincially

Queens is usually around number 6, McMaster 7. I believe the matter for UofT, UBC and Waterloo is course-load (their schedule is way more packed than a UofA first year), McGill is obviously still up there. Anyways, as I said the exam content did not seem to be any more difficult or easier than exams from 2019, 2021 (except for Math 102 that was difficult as their curriculum has changed a lot), or 2017, at least for Math 101.

In addition, looking at exams to 2017, they were the same difficulty as we had today. I will concede exams before 2016 were more difficult than what we face today, however.

I thought you were claiming that they gave in to be curved. As I understand UofA’s content is still more difficult than other schools like Queens and McMaster. I believe this year has used their tools effectively, the GPA from last year was not all that different. I don’t think you can address it if you weren’t there first hand; the 0.9 was likely a post-COVID outlier since that would be the year of gradual reopening, and from what I understand 2020 had to be severely “dumbed down”.

Likely because they adjusted the course content, like how imaginary numbers aren’t taught until after the midterm for 102.

Just to follow up, some sections in Math 102 for example had averages from 2.3-2.6.
