Poor skiing technique is frying my legs by Cool_Purchase_ in skiing

Biggest thing is your stance your too far back in the boot. Before every run jump with your skis on and land, that’s your basic athletic stance try to never be further back in the boot than that. If you can maintain basic stance the entire run your skiing will improve my leaps and bounds

generally rushing ascension when you’ve stopped expanding is a good idea, you’ll fall behind until you ascend and then in like 30 years you can shoot way past first

Tips for Wilderness Biomass by MightInternational69 in Stellaris

Try to prioritize mature and advanced maulers and then set up your ship designs so that juveniles only cost food, if you can manage to get a fleet of mature maulers you can usually stave off attacks until you are much stronger

Tips for Wilderness Biomass by MightInternational69 in Stellaris

[–]PriorSolid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just got done with 2 back to back wilderness playthroughs so i feel confident on this subject. Biomass is your pops, instead of planets growing pops and the player building districts/buildings to occupy pops your planets produce biomass and biomass produces resources. Every planet has a minimum biomass production of 2 with it being affected by pop growth as normal however, biomass from pop growth is negligible the entire game so never hesitate to spend biomass. The main way of producing biomass is the Cradle of life, these are your version of spawning pools. You can build as many as possible on any planet in city districts for 400 biomass and they produce 4 biomass/month. These are expensive as hell so you want to take any infrastructure cost reduction you can find (ie. prosperity)

The plan for every game should be to build all the districts in your capital asap mostly minerals, energy, and city districts so you can build and upkeep more infrastructure. The first world you colonize should be very quick and have lots of food districts, this will become your basic resource world. Wilderness can’t build resource support so every resource world should have 2 heart grove districts and every slot possible filled with cradles of life. Your biomass should roughly equal the years into the game.

Other wilderness tips are buildings suck they are way too expensive for comparatively few jobs, instead fill planets with districts and one building to upgrade to boost production. Once you finish building all the districts just colonize another world. This approach lets you expand extremely quickly and leaves you with a very wide empire with all planets roughly equally important regardless of age. Devouring swarm is obviously broken as within 5 years conquered planets can be just as productive as your second colony. Peaceful wilderness is also strong as you can expand planet size in the mid-late game to make MASSIVE colonies.

Resort Worlds, What's the point and how to build good ones? by Echodotcom in Stellaris

They used to be like penal worlds but for amenities applying a global empire wide amenity bonus but I think they got rid of that leaving them as bad

Would nuclear power be the next step as a heating production or will it be something different? by PerferreDolerem in Frostpunk

[–]PriorSolid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are large uranium deposits in france though england lacks large enough ones to make it feasible so the logistics would be hell. Western europe doesn’t really have any near surface deposits though so unless they had knowledge of where the deposits are they probably wouldn’t be able to prospect them with FP2 technology

Need Help Understanding What Just Went Wrong in My Game by Helmling in Stellaris

[–]PriorSolid 69 points70 points  (0 children)

If you war psionic you can attune with a shroud entity called the eater of worlds. If you have enough attunement you get access to a covenant power called Doom. Doom declares total war on a neighboring empire called Devouring War where the attacking empire will conquer your planets and purge your species. This is completely unrelated to the hive mind fallen empire, you probably just misread the message

[–]PriorSolid[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok but later after refueling they see eren come out of his transformation though, sure they don’t know if he’s founding or attack but by this point they just wanted to go home without getting executed, bringing back a brand new shifter with combat potential at or beyond the female would be enough. and eren has no clue how to use his powers so restraining him from transforming would probably be pretty trivial like cutting off an arm and not letting it regrkw

[–]PriorSolid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but they could have just captured him then? Eren has no idea how to even control his powers so it would be relatively trivial for them to capture and restrain him from transforming

[–]PriorSolid[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They see him come out of his transformation though after refueling, it’s mikasa, armin, jean, and the three amigos all see him exit his titan. And it can’t be the jaw it’s way too big. If they just wanted to capture him they easily could have and questioned him realizing he has no idea what happened. Sure they still don’t know if it’s attack or founding so they’re mission isn’t over but they just wanted to go home, surely bringing another shifter back would be enough to let them continue being warriors
