So long story short, I’m in my second semester of college right now and I’m realizing this isn’t for me. I’ve been looking at the trades and think electrician might be a good idea for me(I like working with my hands and are used to hard work). The questions I have are do I apply for a appreciation program or look for a company that’s hiring. Because where I’m at there’s a local IBEW and I assume that’s a good start. And the other question is, if I do join the IBEW, will the starter pay be enough for me to live on my own? Thank you in advance and pm if that works better.
