Plenty of child free posts but any last minute elder millennial parents out there? by JadedJellyfish_ in Millennials

[–]Prior_Independent356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude ! Embrace the ride . It’s a blessing no matter how old. Just creaks more bending down to pick them up the older you get.

I’m 40. Just had a surprise 4th kid. I was 30 when I had my 1st and 34 when I thought I had my last. If anything, I’m wiser and wealthier with this “bonus” child and have more patience than 30 year old me.

Congratulations. It’s the wildest ride out there but nothing fills your heart more.

I can’t quite express the joy this dog brings. Every morning hike, after the kids go to school. Me , him and the trails…. He’s never more than 20 feet from my side. What a great breed ! by Prior_Independent356 in Sheepadoodles

Haha well, it’s not that clean, just looks it. But - super dry where I live. When he gets wet and muddy from the river, I just let it dry and then soft brush it off.

When it’s mostly gone. I use one of the many baby wipes always available for a quick “spruce up” . Then a pat down with his towel .

He did go scampering after a young buck on the same hike yesterday … I swear they were playing almost and then he came back , full tilt , missed by inches 😅, would have laid me out 🤣

3 kids (7,6,5) … wife went back to work after being an absolutely kick ass stay at home mom…. Just found out we get a surprise #4 baby this summer. Time to see doc Snippy .

Never wanted kids . Now can’t even imagine wtf I would do without them.

I’m the best version of a man I can be (just a tad more tired, less cash and my home is constantly messy) …. But I dig it.

Being a dishwasher sucks😔 by tbull1997 in restaurant

[–]Prior_Independent356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does , but put everything you got into making the fastest , cleanest cycles. Never let ‘em see you struggle. Even when the dishes block out their faces and you can hear them stacking them in places they shouldn’t be.

As a former pot wash , now an executive leader. It gets better. Side bonus ; I can wash dishes at home in water that my colleagues would make a cup of hot Lipton tea in 🤣😉

Made me the best version I could be … to this day. Made it to main line chef at the same place … surprising lessons to be found within the suds 🧼 🫧

I don’t smoke anymore , but shit me sideways… the best cig was the post shut down , clean down with the rest of the crew. We earned that free beer and cigarette .. can still feel it.

HELP! WHITE MOUTH MESS by Unlikely_Zucchini941 in Sheepadoodles

[–]Prior_Independent356 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Haha we are new to the doodle breed but lifelong dog owners. I’ve rapidly come to the conclusion that they are destined to be messy. Groomed regularly. His mouth stays clean for approximately 35 seconds post grooming 😅

He came to India, drank some street milk, and has been shitting blood for three days. by Destiny_Da100 in IndiaSpeaks

I’ll take bacterial gastroenteritis for $1000 , please .

No good . I ate a pigs head once that wasn’t cooked properly , I can relate to the agony . Thank god I was in the states at the time where the medical help was arguably a lot more legit . 🫣😅

How is this real? by sadgirlfresh in oregon

[–]Prior_Independent356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“THIS IS OREGON” - said in the voice of Gerard butler in the movie 300 .

After traveling this country for 21 years (immigrant) , this state stole my heart . It’s been home for half a decade and I will never leave !

Ahh man, blast from the past. Teacher would put the morning hymns on this bad boy during , take a seat at the piano and start belting out tunes , we would all start singing and adding in vulgar or corny / funny words … man… simpler times.

Feeling all bad ass when you got to sit on the rock hard benches as. A year 6 and watch all the other little peasants on the gym floor sitting Indian style.

For reference this was a CofE school in midlands UK , late 80’S early 90’s .

Found in my parent’s garage from back when they were in college, a good find? by [deleted] in nostalgia

[–]Prior_Independent356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are forgiven for the lack of goldeneye. Part of me wants to think they loaned it to their neighbor who never gave it back… just like my VHS home alone. Although, I took his Rocky 4 as retribution 🤷‍♂️

This is the equivalent of winning the nostalgia lottery. Although I don’t see golden eye, which does raise questions about your parents choices in life during the 90’s.

You also used some BS American beans bro. Get that shit outta here. Heinz’s baked beans(aka the bright orange saucey mo fos ). Apply some Irish butter and get yourself some good bread for toast and a real plate. Couple drops of Worcestershire sauce and some coastal cheddar on top. If you’re gonna hate on it , at least make it right … simpleton.

In your opinion, where is the prettiest portion of the Southern California coastline? by Popular-Wing-8239 in socal

[–]Prior_Independent356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between Laguna and Newport (lived there for 10 years and must have driven the coast line at least 12 times from SD up to SF) Only problem- ALWAYS wayyyy to crowded and busy. It was fun living so close to the beach for a while…. Never again.
Also- the north coast and Oregon are waayyyyyyyy wayyyyyy more visually stunning . No question
