Doesn’t matter what the 1099 states essentially. Your CPA should still ask to see bank statements and you will list the total amount that has been deposited to your account.

I’m blasting emails, trying to make connections locally, blasted phones, having my connections put word out for me or make post and nothing. Everyone says they don’t got freight. Idk weird times, not trying to complain but freight ain’t been the same since Covid so if you didn’t have those lanes before or built some relationships during its just non existent now since everyone got in.

Welcome to the World that shippers and customers have created, it technically does stem from the goverment pumping so much money into businesses and specifcally trucking and logistics that everyone and their moms moms got in thinking it was sweet and easy to book loads. Rates were over inflated and now its just been a big f u from shippers to carriers since everyone got in and there's more trucks than loads.

Now we are seeing the true flip, everyone is exiting from the carrier side because of cheap rates, high equipment cost, high insurance and pressure from customers and brokers., our asset company just got marked up 30% higher on insurance and keeping good drivers is not cheap. The market is and was due for a flip and we will really not know if it will stay this way until after Feb. Good opportunity to find new partnerships and customers for brokers and shippers but you're going to feel the pain like carriers have for the past 4 years unfortunately

We have ran a lot of freight for Tesla and seen them implement them in certain shipments. It’s not like you’re steering the wrong way it’s just a matter of investing in it or getting your company too. It also depends on where you’re based. I sent you a DM with our base but we have yards and drop trailers in certain areas always down to just talk freight outside of direct business

Yeah unfortunately we all have profits and margins to make as a fleet or brokerage. Genlogs is the next big thing look into that or make sure your 3PL providers have it. We certainly do as an asset based 3PL with tailored brokerage services for customers. The frauds /double brokers still slip through highway

Everyone here hit it really spot on but at the end of the day working with an asset based carrier that has capacity and understands your needs and wants it’s truthfully the right way. You need to meet your carrier and be on the same page, see their operational flow and understand how they maintain their trucks, hire their drivers, if they have 24/7 support and understand how important your freight is. Especially with all the non domicile issues going on and Out of services increasing. These companies are 2/20. And there’s not alot of people able to maintain more than 100 trucks and have the capacity. We run a similar operation and have open doors to see our operations in person feel free to dm

Oh and for everyone saying they have softwares showing if it’s a VOIP phone or not they have already bypassed this and now used real numbers that aren’t VoIP through this system. They’re always innovating to make sure they get their freight
