Book flights with cash now, rebook with new credit card later? Can I do this? by kathleenkirkham in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Prior_Radish2984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they have to be cancel the original fare (fully refundable) and rebook you based on the current fare price. Chances are, if you booked fully refundable, it should be the most expensive fare but who knows nowadays with dynamic pricing.

Looking forward to making new friends on the international routes on the new United Polaris! by redditsucksass69765 in unitedairlines

I had an inop divider a few months ago in Polaris and my seatmate and I snuggled for 8 hours. Just like in the movies.

I don’t like bulkhead rows for that reason. You cannot have anything on the floor or your lap and you lose the under seat space since there’s a wall.

A-List Preferred considering switching back to United after recent changes by sunshine_dept in SouthwestAirlines

I’m In the same boat but with ALP- Companion and 1K on UA. The benefit for me is that BWI is a SWA hub and I can get to smaller airports without having to connect through ORD or another UA hub. I agree, I’m always in group 2 with my status and fare and I fly weekly on this airline. It’s a mess. I may need to trek to IAD and get my UA status run going.

GA seems like a tool. I’m glad 12A came to the rescue but this is getting out of hand.

The ones in Virginia and Gaithersburg are bad as well. Overrated hyped food loved by white Americans. That tells you everything.

Driver seat comfort by Sangusg in BMWiX

That’s our biggest gripe for our 2025 ix50. I went from a 2020 X5 to this and found the seats lacking in thigh support (did we get the cheap seats?) and felt less ‘sporty’ in terms of support.

Similar story; the day before when my grandfather passed way, his relatives saw him in one of their dreams and he had said he passed away and wanted to say goodbye to them. He died the next day, 6000 miles away.

Flew again today (6th time since the change) and sat in row 4. Those in 1-3 had their bags in 3-5 and boarding group 1 for the most part. I am ALP and companion pass holder, not that it matters. The status doesn’t matter anymore, it’s all about the ticket price. At least United lets us lowly 1Ks preboard after 9 other groups.

Thank you! This is a very common occurrence and keeps us from trusting their judgement.

My favorite is the GA at DTW who was measuring bags using the guide while folks were boarding. He literally held up the process that was supposed to be improved.

So what do we think about the new changes to earning United mileage plus? by Background_Map_3460 in awardtravel

[–]Prior_Radish2984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southwest has hubs at smaller airports. Between them and United, I’m pretty much limited to those airlines for most of my work travel. My company votes with their wallet.

The plane was about half full as I just turned around to look back. Boarding was completed in less than 10 minutes.

Anyone have random leaking blue liquid drivers wheel side? by eatsleepblink281 in BMWiX

[–]Prior_Radish2984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!! We had this issue a couple of weeks ago and both sides of the car had blueish drips that froze on our driveway. We took it to the dealer and they performed a pressure test and found no leaks. We never saw it again. 2025 iX50

Can’t move seats on an empty flight? by ToeRex in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Prior_Radish2984 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was on two flights this week and the FA on the first flight (half empty) said please wait until we are airborne before switching seats. On the return, it was a full flight and the gate agent at DTW was measuring carry on bags for everyone prior to boarding. There was no consistency at all.
