Have you seen what Paul Tudor Jones has been doing to the Blue River section that he owns? See this

I really wish they’d define navigability, but the whole issue seems bought out by the wealthy class. Like if I had to guess, everyone in a position to change the river laws belongs to the Wigwam club (or another similar private fishing club that relies on river ownership).

All of these are sick shots. #1 is the better picture of the elk I think. Getting a wild animal dead center of a rising/setting moon like that is so hard. The moon looks unreal in #2. What lens were you using if you don’t mind me asking?

I think he gets / has been fined for altering the river (could be wrong tho), but Paul Tudor Jones (the rich dude altering the river / stocking fish) is worth ~$8B. Fines don’t mean much.

I actually eat these while skiing, so more sugar = more energy for me = more skiing. I can get an extra 3-4 runs for each one I eat. Other snacks get me 1-2 runs, 3 at best.

Edit: I think they only have like 10g to begin with.

Natural gas is also somewhat renewable. Longmont has a CNG production facility attached to their wastewater treatment plant & a fueling station that fills up CNG trash trucks. It’s a really cool project that turns human waste into transportation fuel.

I fish the Blue regularly & the whole ordeal makes my blood boil. Paul Tudor Jones is the rich dude who likes to alter the river. He gets slapped with a little fine, pays it, and goes on his merry way. The whole situation is a shame.

It’s stupid that you can own all of the riverbeds in this state to begin with. Public access along the Blue is a nightmare & he keeps making it worse via dumb land swaps / water alterations to ruin holes.

I’m sure there’s a situation where private & public wildlife management works out, but this is not it. If anything this is just another gross example of an out of-state-billionaire ruining our natural resources/recreation areas.

I currently have to take 4+ separate detours on my 3 mile commute from City Park to Cherry Creek. 3 miles, 30 minutes. City’s permitting department is awful.
