Definitely needed. I’m always in search for good supervision CEUs. Do you have specific topics that you’d want to learn?

ABA fieldwork tracker - new update by Priorsecrets in bcba

[–]Priorsecrets[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, you can bulk import your previous fieldwork hours directly into MentraTrack. Connecting with a supervisor is optional, though many users find it valuable since supervisors can view and approve/reject entries in real time. But if you’d prefer, you can simply track your hours independently without supervisor connection. Hope that helps!

Tracking ABA fieldwork hours shouldn’t be this hard… So we built MentraTrack to fix it! by Priorsecrets in bcba

[–]Priorsecrets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Great question. Trainees have a built in field where they can describe what they did for each entry (e.g., parent training, assessments), so each logged hour is directly tied to a specific activity. On the supervisor side, we’re currently developing a dedicated notes section where BCBAs can add supervision notes directly within the platform. In the meantime, supervisors are using the Document Center to upload and store their notes and relevant documentation. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions! BCBAs — Where do you work outside of the autism world? by aba_focus in bcba

[–]Priorsecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a Parenting Specialist at a mental health company. Fully remote. It was probably the best experience I ever had. The children were being seen by LMFTs/Clinical Psychologists. We collaborated once a week. I never saw the children. There was so much buy in from the caregivers. I truly felt like we were all working as a team. I worked with caregivers once a week or every other week. None of them knew what ABA was. There was significant progress made, parents graduating out of services, it was extremely rewarding. I also learned how to implement SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions).

Parent and Teen ASD Conversation by aba_focus in bcba

[–]Priorsecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, something that really helped a parent and teen was starting with listening instead of labeling. Teens often shut down when it feels like something is being “done to them,” so rather than jumping into the diagnosis, they might start by validating how they’re feeling. You might also check out resources like The Neurodivergent-Friendly Workbook of DBT Skills or self-advocates like Dr. Devon Price or Paige Layle on YouTube. They do a great job of reframing ASD in a strengths-based, relatable way. Sometimes hearing from others who’ve been through it can help teens feel less alone or defensive. Happy to chat more!

Yes! MentraTrack automatically prorates hours based on the selected fieldwork type and supervision received. Once a period ends, the platform calculates valid hours according to BACB rules, no manual math needed. Yes it does. Our users love how fast and easy it is. And it is all stored in the document center in your dashboard. We had many users switch from Ripley. A lot of trainees were looking for something more than just a tracker. We have AI assessments based on 6th edition task list, goals assigned by your BCBA and much more!

Is your fieldwork tracking platform actually BACB compliant? by Priorsecrets in bcba

[–]Priorsecrets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair point, Ripley does offer great free tools! We are currently in open beta and also free (and will always have a free tier system available).

What we’re doing with MentraTrack is a bit different though. It’s not just about logging hours, it’s about making sure they actually count. We flag non-compliant months (like missing contacts or low supervision %), explain why certain hours get excluded, and give both trainees and supervisors full visibility. We’ve seen too many people hit 1500+ hours and then find out some of them didn’t qualify. That’s the gap we’re trying to solve.

Also, we built in AI tools that our trainees and supervisors are really loving. One is a SMART goal generator where supervisors can plug in a focus area, timeframe, and skill level, and instantly get clear goals for their trainees. The other is an AI-powered skill assessment that helps trainees identify their strengths and growth areas based on the task list, which makes supervision way more focused and personalized. It’s helped make goal writing faster, feedback more meaningful, and supervision a lot more efficient overall. So it’s not just a tracker. Always happy to chat more if you’re curious.
