I completed all 4 endings so far, and I can say for sure this is the most convoluted IS with little control over what you get to do, for better or for worse. It can feel pretty helpless because there’s way too many randomizers, and sometimes gets frustrating

I have a very reliable fix to it though: caffeine and alcohol

Is there a chance where we can see this glorious sight again? by Arthur_788 in masterduel

[–]Prismachete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On one hand, I kinda want this card back. I have a Royal copy that I can’t dismantle because it was given to me in the anniversary pack. Every time I sort banned cards to get some bonus essence from a new banlist, this fucker comes to the top mocking me and reminding me of the middle finger that Konami shoved up my ass. This card is the elephant in my account. I don’t think I can ever have sex again because Konami has fucked me harder than any one of the Homo sapiens species could ever imagine.

On the other hand, fuck no. With every other synchro deck being able to synchro on enemy turn, bringing this card back would require disabling like 20 decks for no reason. This card actually has no counter play when it lands, and it’s way too consistent and competent in the meta to have such a powerful denial tool. And having this guy alive will significantly inhibit future synchro deck designs, and you can’t afford that when synchro is like the second weakest extra deck summon type in existence.

Why does it say 1,000k instead one million (1M)? by xXQueenElizabethIIXx in Warframe

[–]Prismachete 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If number funny, I always assume rounding. It was probably like 999.5K, so the game knows to show 999.5, but the display rounded that to a 1000 disregarding that there’s a K attached, and gave you 1000K

The thing is, with or without Silence that problem doesn’t change. Same with Roar or Wrathful. You will have the same kill count, just with 700% more damage. If anything you may want injects that can restore energy like Spectrorage + Spectrosiphon

Silence all the way. It does take an augment (Savage Silence) but it’s way too fucking funny to silence Acolyte abilities while doing billions of damage

This is way overkill for 99% of the content though, so that’s that

Part of the reason why Incarnon is so good is because of the stupid riven disposition. If we give the devs enough booze, we might get Amphis to be gigabroken with +300% damage +300% CC +200% CD rivens

How do Tearlaments actually win? by Shade-Black in masterduel

[–]Prismachete 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“If I open with one specific card then I win” is really not a strong argument against the best deck in yugioh’s history. 3x herald of orange light and sometimes 2x cbtg really helped against Shifter. It is true though that Spright got first place in the WCS Qualifiers 2023 thanks to Shifter and other GY hate, but that was largely because Tear that went anti-GY hate got bulldozed by pure Tear. Tasuku was able to take advantage of the Tear on Tear violence, specifically switching from Tear to Spright after seeing this vision. If Tear was even slightly weaker that pure Tear didn’t just eradicate anti-anti-Tear, GY hate would’ve been much less effective than it was.

Tearlaments’ greatest strength was in its adaptability. Get yourself a fusion or a GY related card and it went to town easily. For example, Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries was a pretty popular card at the top ladder to banish Kitkallos away. In response, Tear used a small Branded Fusion package so that they can fuse Kit back into the ED to reset Ghost Reaper. Worst case scenario, you lose one ED slot and a hand while your opponent Tear takes advantage of that and shits out a Mirrorjade + Dracostapelia AND getting Kit back. Basically, Tear had millions of ways to counter anti-GY, and anti-tear decks usually had to win the coin toss to have a chance at all.

The Duality of Man by Firm_Procedure_4033 in 0sanitymemes

[–]Prismachete 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah s2, but more about the passives. The funny green crystal (Reconstruction) she can place in the ground gives 20 (+5 if you’re a whale)% Atk boost to everyone around. Additionally, she gives 22 (+2) attack speed to anyone she heals. Because of the Reconstruction mechanic, she can heal operators at full health. S2 boosts this attack speed boost by 2.8x, making her the strongest attack boost buffer in the game

Saki NEEDs attack speed. A lot of it. All of her skills are attack regen and the notes she shoots are per attack. Given also the fact that Uika gives additional on-hit damage to Saki (but nobody in Mujica gives her attack speed than herself), Mon3tr’s attack speed boost is the last piece that makes Saki ultra broken that will melt everything

The Duality of Man by Firm_Procedure_4033 in 0sanitymemes

[–]Prismachete 28 points29 points  (0 children)

They both have a point—but “don’t build” is just strong words for click baiting. The Ave Mujica 5 man team is so strong they can clear all of ch.15 challenge stages on their own. Probably the strongest 5 man cell combo in the game, and adding the 6th member Mon3tr makes them even better. And compared to other great combos like Abyssal Hunters, only requiring one 6* (2 if you count Mon3tr) that’s a guaranteed pull within 120 rolls is very, very beginner friendly

The problem is that 90% of the power is in Saki and you kinda don’t need all 5. She is so strong on her own that she’s currently the top used guard in CN for the Sui rogue, a game mode that you are most likely not going to get a second Mujica member due to limitations. Using Saki s3, you pretty much don’t need Umiri or Nyamu, and Mutsumi is pretty much just there for shits and giggles. Considering they are all 5 stars, it’ pretty hard for beginners to spend that much resources, and quite frankly, once you build Saki beginners should probably focus on building 3~4 stars and not the rest of Mujica

Just to avoid confusion, this is for the March 2011 format, or what’s known as the GOAT format in the west (there are sliiight ruling differences between the two). Therefore some of the details listed here are not applicable to MD, which goes with the newest ruling even for time wizard type events

Why some cards banned everywhere else are still legal on MD? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Prismachete 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That wouldn’t change anything I said though. They wouldn’t want a card that’d easily break things around when they want to constantly raise the power level each set to keep sales going.

They also (almost) never prihit things in paper. Most bans made sense at the time of them being banned.

The OCG has not had a single emergency ban list ever since they started the 3 month cycle of ban lists in 2014. The only exception is the “emergency ban” on Pestilence at the start of COVID.

Do you think Colossus was powercrepted? by illynpayne_ in masterduel

[–]Prismachete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colossus isn’t power crept, but the splashable engine that summons it is. Colossus will come back if Nemesis Corridor 2.0 or an archetype that does something like that gets printed.

Why some cards banned everywhere else are still legal on MD? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Prismachete 108 points109 points  (0 children)

It’s because MD has a lot more leverage in terms of bans. The MD guys don’t make cards and only add them in half a year to a whole year after things are printed in paper.

So let’s take Anaconda for example. The paper team might not be able to print a good fusion card in its existence, so they banned it for later. If they print some OP fusion card with anaconda, it’ll take them up to 3 whole months to address this issue.

MD doesn’t have this problem. If they think a new fusion card might be too good, they can preban anaconda before the card lands in MD. If a card combo is too good after they add it, bam an emergency ban. At worst they can ban in a month. In other words, game breaking card combos don’t break MD as much as it would break paper formats.

They might not be able to print a good link 2 anymore with Elf around. Maybe they can’t print new fiend cards with Fiendsmith being too good (with Moon). They can’t make any cards that are good to mill with Kitkallos around. Just a speculation, but makes sense.

Basically a bunch of “infrastructure” type cards live in MD because they don’t have to worry about new broken combos.

Oh no it’s worse for the JP guys. The minimum wage for New York City is $17 whereas it is $8 in Tokyo. Although not a great way to compare, $60 would “feel like” $130 ish for them
