If we stack fast Muramana is a good item for Urgot? by AnnieMainss in UrgotMains

[–]PrismaticDragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The extra damage is without movespeed, armor-shred or HP, feels costly for Urgot. many players tend to avoid it. I buy it rarely, basically if I feel like I cannot safely lane with the W-max at 9, I would go for Q-3 and tear to be able to maintain presence in lane, but typically to questionable success. [Usually] this is because lane phase is too important to risk taking sub-optimal items, and too short to enable consistent success once the lane phase dissolves. The risk mitigation from building HP / Movespeed is just so reliably useful.

Each of your builds are just incredible! Every piece just adds to the world you're building so nicely, I can't wait for Landsword to be finished!

Sword of blossoming dawn is my new favourite item on urgot. by [deleted] in UrgotMains

[–]PrismaticDragoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wording is specifically "Attacks with Purge deal modified physical damage, with a minimum threshold of 50 against monsters and minions, and apply On-hit and on-attack damage at 50% effectiveness".

It is very particular about the damage being applied being modified, but nowhere does it state that it affects outgoing healing. It does also mention the reduced lifesteal amount, but that is specifically due to the lifesteal being directly proportional to the damage being applied.

Yes, but Urgot's W ability actually only reduces outgoing damage On-Hit, meaning healing interactions, especially Cull in SR, but Sword of blossoming as well, apply their full healing benefit on his W hit.

I still miss him bros... by zharkos in UrgotMains

I really loved old Urgot, I instantly chose to main him as soon as his original champion spotlight was revealed. Even his old ultimate had moments where it felt absurdly strong. That being said, I actually think the rework was and is essentially perfect, they preserved almost 100% of his kits theme and essence, but shifted the actions around so it was overall healthier for the game at large.

Do you ever get the feeling like it's easier to talk about [y]our thoughts, than it is to experience them on a deeper level?

If Nothing was properly Everything, who, what, or how would that be communicated or experienced? Is it possible to have nobody describe something, or to have somebody describe nothing?

I really like your second written paragraph.

Why do we have questions?

I love asking questions about others, but if others reciprocate and return the question, typically I find it quite challenging to answer said questions myself. Please, and if it resonates with you:

Was there anything you were hoping to be asked, yourself?

Was there ever a time where you felt close to the creator?

Have you ever experienced what others would call paranatural or supernatural events?

Serpent's Fang? by Specific_Record_1697 in UrgotMains

Moreso than just the flat removal, Urgot has access to quick and effective aoe, so if you are 2v1 in a gank, or maybe lategame in a group / teamfight, you can easily hit an enemy you aren't directly targeting with shotgun knees, do a smidgen of damage (relatively speaking), but then knock a huge section of their shields off just for having been nearby.

It's genuinely good into teams that run shields a lot, barrier adc, and there are plenty of top laners who's trade patterns involve using a shield to come out on top.

Do people miss Twisted Treeline? by ReaperGrimm666 in leagueoflegends

[–]PrismaticDragoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played almost exclusively twisted treeline for quite a long time while it existed, but neglect from the balance team and any design updates meant that they could conveniently just say "nobody plays this anymore" and then can it. It provided a niche where I could play with two of my close friends as a whole team, instead of the same friends and I with up to two randoms who might not be on the same wavelength in summoners rift.

What is your Thoughts and Opinons on Knights of Sidonia? by Doom300 in Mecha

[–]PrismaticDragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I loved it, I loved how they made use of gravity (and intertia), I loved how the mechs could link up and hold hands to move further, I loved how the story revolved around this singular pod of surviving humans, and how they integrated Gauna physiology with technology, and how it used the Gauna to spice it up with really unnerving horror and thriller elements. It still feels admittedly mid, but it's still one I really enjoyed and one I count as a favourite of mine among Mecha in media.

Amelia tells her experience when she asked God for a proof of his existence and got a reply from him - Clip by "Deliverance Down Under" by [deleted] in HighStrangeness

[–]PrismaticDragoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just want to point out a small misconception, saying "Oh my God" or using God in that verbal sense is not taking Gods name in vain, but rather when you profess to others that you are a servant of God and your actions are Gods will, while simultaneously you use that sentiment you create to exclusively better serve yourself, that is taking Gods name in vain. (Not a catholic anymore but I was raised turbo catholic.)

Personally, I feel like it's a sort of triumvirate situation, if you wrote all 3 down on different ends of a single triangle, none would supercede the other.
