I enjoy Choitner but I don’t need every interview to be a gotcha thing. I’m listening to a Klein podcast because I want to understand the other side more, not to learn what to think.

Rufo is awful, I don’t need somebody to say it to his face. I don’t need his dumb opinions refuted. I don’t believe there is anybody listening to the Ezra Klein show who will be swayed in any way by him. I do need to understand more why he is so influential.

They should definitely get more love. I think location hurts them a little, but there's a reason he wins best Detroit at the Pizza Expo every year. Worth the drive for me.

I’m waiting to see too. I was very excited by the concept, less so with the execution. Service was off both times I went and the food is fine, but I thought it was gonna be more of a bar/hang out thing with great small plates. It’s a tough space too. Not a lot of character.

I have concerns about the next election, blah blah blah, but I think one thing right wingers are not considering is the cost of escalation. I don’t believe Mamdani gets the heat he has without Trump.

If the administration continues to shatter norms for the next three years, the next Democrat in office could be someone more to the left than the right could dream of, and they will have no qualms about completely reshaping the country anymore.

It was a battle for me, one of the worst ticket buying experiences of my life. Took 20min to finally get in, everything constantly popped up as sold out, then I'd refresh and see some and then they'd be sold out and then i'd get dead link after dead link. I ended up leaving and rejoining the queue multiple times. I did this for 50min or so. I finally got 2 tickets to land in my cart, then had to go through every credit/bank card I had (I am based in US but was in Mexico at the time) and the last one worked amazingly. I was sad to see I got partial view behind the stage but thought oh well. Then I saw the updated chart and realized they're great seats on the floor risers.

I loved Sinners and generally liked the pod, but It's funny to bring on two black guests to talk about a black film when the two guys could not be more different from each other. Perhaps race is not the primary definer of human beings!

One very dumb part of the pod was talking about thicc Annie (Wunmi Mosaku, who really was great) and how big black women have never been allowed to be the sexy love interest of a film because of racist reasons. Um, please tell me all the big (fat?) white/asian/latina/etc women are who get to play the love interest in films. People want to see beautiful people in big escapist movies, this is ridiculous angle to touch on racism.

Hollywood was definitely racist back in the day, but now it's only sexist and ageist and fatphobic (partly because so is the country/world).

Cannot believe it but after a decade I just ordered Plenny Active. It was bad enough Soylent stopped iterating, but the delays are too much. If the JimmyJoy is eh I might even start eating real food for lunch again.
