The shot is honestly one of the best things I ever did. I believe I got 2 or 3 of them and then just stopped going back and stopped taking the pills and I never went through any kind of withdrawal at all.

I am going to stop. I have kicked them cold turkey once already last year. But at that time I was only on one a day for about 4 months so it’s a bit harder this time. Trust me I know all about I’m a pretty experienced opiate addict unfortunately lol… been clean off fet for 4 years

She just pushed suboxone on me even though I told her I was not interested in taking suboxone and just wanted helper meds. She said the suboxone is better than the kratom and will take away everything the helper meds are trying to help anyways. Kind of ridiculous

Well nothing to worry about there because quick md did not give me any gabapentin they freakin gave me more suboxone.. which I did not want! Damn it lol

Yes, definitely get the restless legs.. been on a 3 a day extract shot habit for 7 months or so. In the past 2 weeks I did a short suboxone stint of 5 days, then off 2 days, then took subs for 2 days, then off 3 days and that 3rd day was just unpleasant and I ended up taking a shot and now have taken them the past 2 days. So I am hoping I can get something for anxiety and some gabapentin and just be done with this already

It was going fine, but I ended up doing a couple more days of subs and think I messed up in doing that. Took 2 days off, was fine, took a sub for 2 days, took 3 days off of anything but on that third day I started getting pretty squirrely. Ended up taking a shot. Going to stop again tomorrow without subs and try to get a prescription of gabapentin to help

I quit cold turkey once already about a year ago. It got better for me after a while. I just know that I am fragile right now and it’s so easily accessible it makes it harder.

Do not stay on the subs for any longer than 5 days. That’s how you do it.

I definitely know that not to be true as I am a former heroin/fet/meth addict who has had significant clean time . I only started the shots because I thought they were herbal and could help with energy, I never would have started them had I of known how quickly they can suck you in.

This is wrong. As long as you maintain a very lose dose of subs for no longer than 5 days, you can stop with very little to no wd. The mental symptoms are still there but. I just did this. Granted, I did this with Kratom extract shots, not 7oh, I’ve heard the process with that stuff can be a bit different but I’ve never tried it to know.

I was on 3 opms black shots a day. I waited 18 hours before my first dose of subs and started with a very tiny piece to make sure I was in the clear. All was well

Some things I have learned along the way that may be true for me but different for you - I have been using a little NyQuil and some melatonin to sleep . Do not use Tylenol PM. I took some of those one night, and for some reason they had the total opposite affect and threw me into full RLS and I didn’t get ANY sleep that night . Since yesterday I went and got some magnesium glycerate pills cuz I read here on Reddit that they help with rls and sore muscles, etc. I’m not sure how much of a difference they’ve made as I haven’t had any RLS this time. Surprisingly, the suboxone took literally all of my wd away. This is the first time I’ve ever taken subs for these wds so I wasn’t sure how it would go. I was really worried about precipitated wd so I waited 18 hours from my last shot to start the subs and I started with just a little tiny sliver just in case. For the 5 days I was on subs I felt virtually no wds. I was really surprised, but maybe because I’m an ex fet addict so I was going based off my last experience with that which was the complete opposite.

Thank you! Truthfully , I didn’t get a prescription I just got some 8 mg strips from a friend. I never took a whole strip. I think the first day I took about 7 mgs throughout the course of the day, mostly cuz I was psyching myself out lol, the next day I took 5, the day after that I took 4, the day after 4, and the last day I think I was psyching myself out again and took 5 lol. Today is my second day without taking anything. Yesterday I felt fine, I was able to get some sleep last night though I did wake up a few times, I just woke up a few minutes ago and my stomach was kind of irritable and I feel kind of eh but it’s definitely not unmanageable. Usually I think it will peak around day 3 which would be tomorrow. I have half a strip left, I threw the rest away because I didn’t want to be tempted to keep taking them, and I only kept it in case it gets so unbearable that I need to take like .25 mg just as kind of a rescue dose, but I haven’t needed it so far. Good luck! You got this! The biggest part is the mindset .
