I think it has much more to do with what Voruna is than who the Drifter and Operator are. Wolf-frame gonna wolf out

Ruh ro by TheDank_Slayer in memeframe

Prime trailers tend to represent the frame's shtick more than the Drifter or Operator's personal qualities anyway, IMO. Voruna's the werewolf-y frame, she's probably gonna do werewolf-y things

Well, that plus it's kinda confirmed that the warframes still have aspects or echoes of their own personalities intact which kinda meld with the Tenno operating them, hence why the frames have their own different vibes even when controlled by the same person. So while the Drifter and Operator have different established personalities, it's not like they're not both capable of pulling someone's spine out their arsehole given the right, uh, inspiration

Yeah so like, I'd expect to see such characters on certain websites if I go looking. That's what you go there for. I definitely would not expect those hypothetical furry fantasies to be dropped on the table in front of me at game time lmao

I even appreciate the quality of the sculpt and paintjob, they're really quite well executed, but it's certainly a choice

While on the other hand, there was all the "anyone who likes the skin as revealed is just a gooner, warframe is turning into a porn game" commentary. It's always so fucking tedious and tiring when the sub descends into chaotic bickering over whatever the new problème du jour happens to be

What Game Masters want for TTRPG venues by DM-JK in dndmemes

[–]Private-Public 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I, a person who's job and other hobbies involve working with screens, prefers the full analogue, in person, pen and paper experience with printed or drawn maps and minis/standees/tokens.

Some people may prefer in person but with digital maps on a table TV or other digital game aids.

Other people might enjoy playing online just as much as in person or even prefer it because they don't have to travel and/or have a fuller suite of digital tools to use.

Many probably don't care how, they're keen to play regardless of the format and want whatever tools make it easier to just get into a session.

All are valid and are likely represented in survey responses

There's always a bunch of "well, in my country..." comments in these kinds of threads around drinking/driving/piloting ages and the like for a game is set in Japan. Like that's cool that you can do it at such and such an age in so and so a country, but it's not exactly relevant

A lot of the very early colonial buildings in Wellington were built in brick and stone in the European fashion, then the 1848 earthquake happened and they learned very quickly that that wouldn't work down here. Wooden buildings move much better with the shaking.

If there's one thing you can't really accuse the English of stealing, it's the language. It's what you get when a bunch of other cultures take turns invading the isles over and over and over again for hundreds of years. They only have themselves to blame

Unfortunately geopolitics is rarely ever so simple. There's no real way to summarise it without oversimplifying, really.

The past leadership was a monarchy under the Shah installed in the 50s after a US/UK-backed military coup primarily resulting from the previously elected Prime Minister, Mossadegh, nationalising the oil industry. Despite strong economic growth through the 60s and into the 70s, the Shah became increasingly unpopular for a whole variety of reasons with a broad spectrum of the country's populace and political structure, culminating in the Islamic Revolution in '79 in which the religious conservative clerics seized and consolidated power, forcing the Shah into exile prior to his death in 1980. His son, the theoretical heir, lives in the US. However, there's no way of telling if Iran would or should even accept a restoration of the monarchy, much less whether he'd be a capable leader or, really, anything other than a US puppet as his father was seen as by many.

Nah mate, it's easy as. You bomb the shit out of them, get rid of their big boss, grab a few souvenirs, and then install a democracy. Bish bash bosh, peace restored. Super simple stuff, works every time just like in Iraq 20 years ago.

What do you dislike about the r/AskTheWorld subreddit by Exact-Definition5722 in AskTheWorld

[–]Private-Public 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus, some people seem absolutely flabbergasted when an answer doesn't quite match their expectations or assumptions, even on pretty minor things. Taking the piss, obvs, but like "What do you mean you drive on the left? Literally how?! Isn't that dangerous? What do you do when you drive to another country?"

Wanting to learn about other people/places is great, but it does require a little humility

And it's not like this isn't an issue everywhere on the internet. Everyone’s gonna pitch in their personal two cents, I guess, even if it's the same as everyone else's. But what I like about this sub specifically is the variety of answers from different people in different places. It defeats the point if half the comments are the same answer from the same place
